Dying for more

The only downside to this manga is that each chapter is woefully short, and just about every one ends on a cliffhanger.

The other complaint would be the choices of the scanlator's on how to show the delinquents' slang is rather confusing at times. Occasionally it's so hard to decipher or so unnatural it takes you out of the story.
It's only the delinquents though. Have to say that the translation to the narration flows really well and it's quite poetic in its structure.

Everything else is fantastic. The main character can be gruff and mean, but he's interesting and his behavior is fairly understandable. I appreciate how he doesn't outright flaunt his abilities, but still isn't trying to completely hide them.

Fantastic art in this one, the anatomy is just about spot on...I can't even complain about the proportions on the woman. Very well done.

Fair warning, this manga does deal with themes of rape and they are very realistically, disturbingly portrayed. Kudos to the manga-ka though, for showing it as disgusting as it truly is. I actually cringed during one scene, as opposed to many other manga that just make it seem...well, hot.

Over all, the manga is hot, exciting, disturbing, and thoroughly enjoyable. Can't wait for more!

Note: What was up with the person who said the teacher's boobs are "too big for her personality"? Breast size has nothing to do with personality, and I find that pretty insulting, since I wouldn't say I have a "big boob" personality, but I'm a DD >_>

I actually prefer to see well-endowed "normal" characters in manga. I identify with that, and it looks like she's a bit of a victim of having such a body. Poor lady.

you dont usually get comments this nice and descriptive... but theyre all right. this series is epic, although theres only 12 chapters out and theres the occasional akward translation. and the teacher has boobs too big for her personality. and it think it should set in high school. but everything else is epic. btw, theres a girl who looks exactly like moaning myrtle from harry potter in this manga O_o

The whole point of this story is gore, gore & more pointless gore. Gore as part of a story isn't bad but this was just pages & pages of pointless gore. I ended up skipping several pages at a time just to get to the story. What a bore!!

It requires many chapters to have the story understood and appealing. But even without the story, the style the character has, and the flows already enticing many of us. That wolfie is GAR!

i just started reading this and it seems to have a lot of potential. I read a lot of fantasy books and i gotta say twilight ruined vampires for all eternity. i don't know if anyone else reads fantasy books but Patricia Briggs writes a couple of werewolf sires that are definitely worth a read.

Too much violence.. Too painful and unbearable.. Most creepiest manga ever.

This is probably my first comment on any manga so far. After reading this manga, i was forced to write on it. First of all the art is not that great to be precise it was worst for the male lead and other students.
About students they don't seem like students at all. Most of all bad students seems like demon of some realm specially their leader who's name starts with 'H'(forgot his name) looks like demon lord himself. (and too much unlike the cute demon king you see in most anime. I don't think i can ever forget that face.) There is just no way i can call them middle school students. I may have seen too much cruelty in this manga. I will forcibly recommend to all to avoid reading it coz i know it will damage you psychologically in some way or another.
It was too much to bear to the point it became annoying and creepy, hence became the first manga i ever dropped half way. I am glad it was a wise decision, i avoided all that frustration comes after finishing it.

It is said...
'You can't judge a book its cover' This rule applies here as well but in opposite way. Don't ever think this is some lovey-dovey romance between teacher - student(that's what i thought) like how its is shown in the title art image and cute description. You probably have no idea what kinds of things are happening in this manga. Its a piece of trash by all means. I don't believe i wasted my 4 hours for this worthless s**t... I won't be able to say anymore it just feels like a waste of time to even write about it.

I don't know about you but one thing is for certain that this manga was NOT for me.

Liking It

Its a good change of pace from the usual story of bad ass gets attacked, bad ass retaliates and wins after a prolonged fight spanning multiple chapters. The main character has a great sense of pride and his non submissive pacifism is truly interesting. He refrains and controls himself from sinking to their level even when we could take them all by himself. Its is an interesting take on a Werewolf in a modern day. Instead of being an uncontrollable beast he is more human than some of the characters in this story. And from the looks of whats coming and what has been set up I cant wait to see how the author plays out the overall character development.

People call this cliche or overused but of course they feel Vagabond, Berserk, and Vinland are completely original. Nothing now a days is 100% new and I feel this story takes an interesting turn with its main character choice. I encourage you to give it a read and see for yourself.

be honest, fair enough they have reasons to gun this manga to a pile of shit, but be honest i dno the themes and drawings pretty much sum the best parts of this manga, its mediocre story does adapt into somthing better im sure but for me its caught my eyes, it can be epic in the eyes of who see's it violence for what it is personally i love it. trust me the main character is cool its and shows a gruesome side of gangs and action, ignore the mediocre cheesnes which comes every nw and then be sure to read the whole thing before u judge its shitness if you wna call it that.. for me its just to cool..and i love the persona of women who they portray them artist really knws a slut and normal women aha, ANYWAY READ IT

ok ok its nothing compared to vagabond or vinland saga but just for a read im sure its worth it

Unrealistic, but awesome! (and it gets better)

Yes, the story is over-the-top and unrealistic. But it's also awesome. What action film or action manga or anime *isn't* like that? Think of any John Woo film. Realistic? No. But awesome. Kenchiro from "Fist of the Northstar" punches his friends back to life. The blind guy from "Until Death Do Us Part" takes out tanks with a special katana. And so, a werewolf highschooler can take out legions of thugs and show up for school the next day without a scratch on him. I don't generally look for realism in action stories, especially when they feature werewolves or vampires. I'll read the "Time-Life" series for realism. ^_~ The series also gets better as it goes on. Things get more complex and characters are more fleshed out.

You will find a fair bit of pathos and a little bit of angst sprinkled in later on in the series, and it does get rather graphic, but there isn't much in the way of serious drama in "Wolf Guy". You'll be disappointed if that's what you're looking for. "Wolf Guy" is an action series, not a drama. This isn't a "Wolf's Rain" clone, and I'm glad for that. I loved "Wolf's Rain", but I'm happy to see werewolf story with a different feel. The art in "Wolf Guy" is incredibly good, and the lines are filled with campy goodness even if they're not all that well-written at times. "Wolf Guy" can feel like it written by a 13 year old boy, but a damn cool 13 year old boy. What it lacks in prose it makes up for in other areas.

The characters are cliched at first, and in the case of the women especially, can get tiresome. I feel like that's the real weak point, but it does get better as the series goes on. The teacher is a strange mix of cute, annoying, and weak. She becomes endearing, though. Her breasts are also very distracting. Their size goes from very large to extremely, ridiculously large depending on the chapter. Akira, the werewolf, is a good, solid, if a bit cliched character with an interesting background. Chiba, the boxer, gets an awesome make-over and a larger part. Haguro, the yakuza heir, changes as well, and the story gets much heavier. Things get ultra-graphic at this point. You were warned.

What really makes this series stand out for me is that it throws a werewolf into an action setting. Werewolf films and stories are popular in the U.S., but we don't usually see them in manga and anime. While I did enjoy "Wolf's Rain" immensely, it had a depressing and very serious storyline. "Wolf Guy" has a lighter, more action-filled story. It's not a story that takes itself seriously, it's more camp than drama at times, and I feel that it's geared more towards teens than adults ( there is some nudity and a ton of very graphic violence which is why it's got mature in the genre list even though the story will appeal more to a younger crowd), but it's a fun read. It may not be perfect, but it's really good for what it is. Give it a try. ^_^
