Death Note is definitely one of the best plot-intensive manga ever made. This is a manga that will suck you in right off the bat from chapter 1.

ah yes, deathnote, one of the mangas that has really become one of my favorite mangas. i love the whole Raito vs. L. I wanted Raito to win, but L is on the "good" side so it was so hard deciding. too bad the manga decided for me. ;)

It's an amazing manga, you can't take your eyes of it until you finish reading everything you've downloaded (and then you start crying because you don't have more to read haha). It's like a modern version of the cat and mouse chase, featuring Raito owner of the Deathnote (officially named "Light" :S) and "L" who is a misterious teenager detective, these are two of the most clever characters I've seen in any manga. In any case this series, is a "must read", from the same artist of Hikaru no Go, it promises to be equally (or more) good up until the end.

Very well written with a depth to it that is sadly lacking from many works these days. The only major drawbacks are the linear thought processes employed for the characters which can lead to some rather predictable outcomes and a lack of development for the supporting characters. A good read for those that like a little substance in their literature.

I have to say, this is one of the best series out there. The depth of thinking they go into is unbelievable (gives a new meaning 'to thinking too much into it'). It's like one of those thriller investigation stories; L is just great, Ratio (Light) is great too. Definitely kept my attention through-out. Can't wait till it starts up again (in April I think?)
