Ok so even if a person wants to give this novel a chance desperately finding a reason why its fun to read will be severly disapointed.
When i read a novel first part is always learning and looking around the world then u get to know some deeper things but u always only skim the surface wanting to know the Mc NEVER interacts with any of the charaters on a deeper lv always joking around always winning always blblablala fuck off pls then after reading deep into the night you litterly get bitch slapped that u have been reading for 5-8 hours for nothing as the WHOLE VOLUME 1 IS BASICLY AN INTRODUCTION the way the story is written makes u feel like it was for nothing and u expect the rest of the novel to be the same WHEN WILL WE GET ANY INTERESTING INTERACTIONS on a deeper lv like1 miljoen characters got introduced but in the 2nd volume none of those will even apear that is the feeling u get when u finish the first volume.

yeah, if you read some few chapter till, let's say, 11-14, you will see this as comedical runaway hero,
yup he doesn't care about the world because he already save it before

but it turn over after basilisk chapter, now he got some serious side
and now chuuni chapter at lvl 20
well the chapter is short, so the battle scene is rather short and not satisfying

so we'll wait for next, won't we ?

So apparently the people below who reviewed this as wasted potential failed to realize something. The current English translations for when they posted this was only up until chapter 14, about half of volume 1. Anyway, I digress. The story picks up a lot after chapter 14, and for the moments before, the light hearted moments and comedy might not suit everyone's tastes, but to the ones who do. It's a compelling story and time well wasted. The story is well paced, and the plot is unique. If you manage to find this series, it truly is a hidden gem. Also don't let a few bad reviews case you to overlook a series. Give it a try yourself. As for me, I highly recommend it!

It starts off with a different idea than most of this type of story has but unfortunately the characters are really shoddy. The main characters are undeveloped to such a horrible extent that they're barely better than one-dimensional background characters.

This may be fixed given enough time but 14 chapters in and the hero still feels as flat as a pancake. A villain that showed up for part of one chapter has more personality.

K, we got 2 Heroes groups, The first one being the main protagonist and the previous heroe of that world, and the second group is a new hero group of 4 persons (1 dude and 3 girls). Both groups being summoned to that world and the previous hero feing ignorance and left the demon lord to the new hero group and he left to enjoy the world he previously saved but couldnt enjoy =P

I liked it very much (the formula heroic pervert failing at romancing pretty girls -going to extremes to woo them, it was Hilarius) until the little elf appears, then it's become he doing or saying something pervy & she manhandling him for it.. Oriental comedy like that just piss me off' doesn't make me laugh, understandable if they where in a relationship' but it's not the case, even the author acknowledges that the only reason she turned into a regular was because that chapter of the web novel got a lot of views, could be sorted out if the MC just have a serious chat with her, but of course it's never gonna happen.. shame
