Third Story!

I haven't even read the entire manga, only the third story "The flower that blooms in you"
It was so beautiful. I never thought I would read such a bittersweet manga. It became one of my favorites in seconds. You can truly feel it. I was so touched.
It is beautiful!!!

This is touching on so many levels, and every time I read it I cried. It is truly a wonderful oneshot, in that the characters feel so real and I could relate to their pain and happiness. "Never-ending love."

The Flower that blooms in you.
I cried buckets.
NO.
I cried an ocean.
Amazing manga-ka. They capture the feelings, the expressions, the sadness, the love, everything in her stories. I've never had anything like the story happen to me, yet I could relate to it. I was crying at every lil thing. But half of it was happy crying. Half sad. I can't explain it all to well.

Just read it. It's the first manga (and last) to make me cry so much and feel so happy all at once c: I'd give it a 18 if I could. Stupid 10 limit.

a true gem

Story 1: not scanlated
Story 2: It was cute but got boring, and then I got confused, and then it was cute again? I don't even know.
Story 3: THIS IS A MUST READ. It's so beautiful and heartbreaking. The way you cheered for the main character and felt her sorrow, her ups and downs. And I absolutely love the art. now it's my favorite oneshot everrrrr. biggrinDDD
Story 4: It looked ugly, so I skipped it. Didn't look that amazing from the few pages I read. >_>
Story 5: This story is just so generic, there's nothing special to it. The characters feel kinda stupid, It's not really worth reading.
Story 6: I don't know, it was too short, like 7 pages long? I thought it was whatever, but you can read it yourself and decide.

All in all, the collection is pretty unremarkable, except for "The Flower That Blooms in You." You must read that story, it's a perfect 10, the score of 6 I gave just reflects all the other stories.

Out of all the stories, the best and one of my favorites is 'The Flower that Blooms in You'. Its been awhile since I read something unique, heartbreaking, saddening and in the end uplifting!
Totally recommend it! smile

Alright Collection with One True Gem

This is the usual collection of shoujo one-shots for the most part. They're cute, fluffy, romantic, etc, etc. You pretty much know what you're getting into when you pick up a shoujo collection. And this doesn't disappoint.

However, it bears mentioning that it contains what is easily one of the best one-shots I've ever read. "The Flower that Blooms in You" is a pure gem. It's rare that a one-shot can be so moving, but this one nearly made me cry. And that's saying a lot for me! I would recommend this particular one-shot to everyone who enjoys shoujo, not just those who like shoujo one-shots. The story surpasses the genre and proves that one-shots can be every bit as worthwhile as lengthier stories.

I disagree only with some of the reviews that wish this particular one-shot was longer. I think it's the absolute perfect length for this story. Any longer, and I think some of the poignancy would be watered down. As it is, this one-shot is absolute perfection.

10 for the flower that blooms in you

A beautiful one shot and one of the best I've had the pleasure of reading, its a very deep manga and all its characters come together beautifully. It really touched me and was very memorable (so much so its stored in my rainy day box of mangas) I found the strength and courage of both leads inspiring and the unwavering love and devotion of the heroine to be a beautiful and wonderful example of what love should and is about, being there for some one through the tough times and the good times. The second story is also very cute a very different tone in comparison but very cute and lovely, a good summer read. The rest of the one shots are ok, but its the second and third stories that really stood out for me.
