I know most people reject incest but if people love each other I think they should be together but they shouldn't have kids because of the genetic disorder point of view but adoption is always considered.

I dont think people should disgrace them so quickly because love has no boundries.

Series is very good- bittersweet, drama, and of course love

I've been wondering about this friggin manga forever! I could read the scanlated volumes but yeah, it's been a long time and I doubt they'll finish scanlating it. As Yazzilicous said, I can finally get it out of my mind..since even though I knew it wasn't being scanlated, I kept on checking for updates every once in a while. I'm satisfied with that ending biggrin

To Black Hole:

My uni unfortunately does not offer Japanese classes and I haven't had the time to learn it myself on the side. With the lack of releases (and without the look of any on the way,) I was annoyed.

Thank you so much for telling me how it ended, now I can finally get it out of my mind. Perhaps I am a little mad that I only was able to read half of the manga but at the same time, 9 more volumes parent vs. kids?

Well anyways, thanks a bunch!

I don't usually heed shoujo at all, but out of boredom I decided to check the first chapter of this series to pass some. By the time I got to chapter 4 or so I was completely glued to story. I even pulled out some full nighters, carefully & slowly reading the raws for untranslated chapters, being really interested on what's going to happen next.

Also, while this project is listed as "active" in Shoujo magic there hasn't been a single release in one year. I suppose that the forbidden theme & the huge amount of drama + suffering that's yet to come to the characters doesn't alure the scanlators to bring out a chapter every two weeks.

Since the series really doesn't seem to be completely scanlated any time soon, I'll throw in comments about the ending (from here on the post will be a spoiler, however I don't know how to tag it, si I hope some moderator will properly do so later).

Spoiler (highlight to view)
From volume 9 to the ending the main focus of the series is shifted to their mother's (Yuka) efforts to separate them, the siblings eventually become so feed up with their predicaments that they reveal their relationship to the guests of their omais right in front of the church, trying to break their marriages with Ren & Kyoka, but their mother still won't allow them freedom; the kids secretly agree to meet in Rome to escape from it all. When Kasumi arrives there she can't find Yoshiki, and gets contacted by the police with the message "we need you to verify the identity of a corpse". Kasumi suffers greatly while gathering strength to even see the corpse, sulking in denial... Funerals for Yoshiki are held in Rome and Kasumi breaks up all ties with her mother & every body else, wanting to stay in Rome permanetly.

As some of you my already have guessed, in the aftermath of the service & when everybody is gone, Kasumi was still suffering about this in the place where she first meet with Yoshiki, at which point he shows kissing her, revealing how he used some aquitances to fake his deadly accident, with that said they finally embrace each other enjoying the knowledge that now no one is standing between them, Yoshiki doesn't miss the chance to kindly whisper "I love you". The next scene is a portrait of their marriage, being exhibited as propaganda in a store that sells bridal items.

One big soap opera

Like I said in my subject big soap opera. In the beginning it's really good, still good in the middle end but then I realized for me the middle end was volume 7 or so. That's when I came to note that this serious has 18 volumes! They have so much drama already in 7 volumes, how can they do more in 18? After a while I skipped around and then just straight to the end. Pretty draggy story on and on I gotta say. I mean it's good, and I don't care about the incest part. It makes the story better, without would be nothing of course. The one thing that bugged me though was that the girl kept on going back to him and then would say no I should then go back to him again, then repeat repeat. Seriously c'mon! Make up your mind. Also the ex's boyfriend/girlfriend for the siblings were partially annoying as well. But once again, without them the story would be kapeeeesh. The art is rather very good for something made in 1999 (you don't see that often.) You should give it a shot! I like it overall though. I'd give it an 8. Also the ending is a total twist, it got me crying at first. I'm a sucker for endings I guess.

i really liked it at first but i think it has way too much drama and it just drags on and on and on. it was so long and repetitive, in fact, that i skipped directly to the last volume.
i was, however, satisfied with the happy ending, which i was not suspecting. :)

I find this a very disturbing series... i felt sympathetic for the characters. And just as I was wondering could this even happened... I found this piece of news
So... things like this could happened in real is so sad that I don't even know what to say. So I thank the Mangaka for writing this series... it helps me to understand, how these people feel. and I hope they will move on in their lives and feel at ease with comfort.

This is a good manga, revolving the bittersweet agony of longing for your lover.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
It is a very romantic story about love, but it is forbidden to them as they are siblings. They were everyday people with the logical train of thought that incest is unacceptable, until fate played them a trick and cheated them into falling in love.
We read about how they try to reason their feelings for each other, but keeping in mind that the family bond was a new discovery, their heart and mind could not fully understand that they must not be together. But in these situations love burns you whether you do or whether you do not.

If it was not for the corny, exaggerated, soap opera melodrama, it would have scored a 9.

Kasumi's intensity is hard to follow emotionally when reading the manga. After a bittersweet ache is sown in your chest, she just keeps on going, pushing it further until it seems like a parody of a soap. I always end up laughing and I can't take it seriously. I wonder if the mangaka wanted it to be a manga version of "Scary Movie", "Epic Movie" etc., because to me it's a comic twist.

OVERALL I love the romance, a lot of drame/plot (at times it is nauseatingly soapy), we understand the characters and the drawing is an 8+.

Incest, romance, mature smut, bittersweet, soap opera

Boku ni Natta Watashi
Angel Sanctuary
Boku wa Imouto ni Koi wo Suru (I Love My Little Sister)

I really don't know what to say about this manga.

I am NOT against incest, since i believe love comes in many form and should not be labeled.

Pro: Mature art style. Deep love. Drama. Slice of life. Good plotline.

Con: Too soap opera. Killed me so many times withe the drama. Not yet complete scanlate. 80% this manga will never make it to the licensed world since many are against incest (Through many accepts yaoi and hentai since whatever-reason). For angst lovers more than shoujo/happy-ending lovers (Me).

Extra Note: Waiting to see all 18 volumes scanlated.

Rate: I'm a picky person (especially when it comes to manga), so a 6/10 for me. 6/10 may not seem much but coming from me really means it's a worth reading!! (Death Note being 7/10, PoT 7/10, Love Monster 7.5/10, Vampire Knight 8/10, One Piece 9/10, Hikaru no go 10/10).

though i did somewhat like this manga, the main character Kasumi is always freaking crying which annoys the heck out of me... its a never ending soap. The artwork is okay, its nothing really special at all. If you just want to pass time because you have nothing else better to do then read this
