Description
Rin is a tomboyish 14-year-old who lived with her grandpa in a small village out in the countryside. After her grandpa's death, Rin is obligated to leave her village to live with her mother in Tokyo. When she arrives, she discovers an amazing secret: her mother is not an office lady, but a famous model, Myu Suzuki!
After one night of reunion, Rin's mother leaves to follow some guy to an unknown foreign country without any notice other than a letter. Without any money to survive on, and the contract between Myu and the model company, what is Rin to do?

I actually really liked it.
I think people are highly too critical of it,. <3 It's suppose to be cutesy, and all that.
The "instant" success really makes sense to me, since people always get along like that when they are related to famous people (and are nice looking themselves). I actually haven't read to many like this story... but I ususally don't read the ones about idols and stuff, so that might be the reason I don't find it cliche. I like the main character also. If you want a real tear jerker, then this is not it.
The ending... is a classic shojo ending, sadly. >>;

Like shikonhana stated, the story and character development maintains a superficial level but although I would catagorize this as a "fluff" story, I wouldn't say that it was a total waste of time to read it...
it's a very nice manga, it has lovely characters and the story line, even though at the it seem a little too cliche, it developes into a nice story

superficial story and characters. not recommended.
Simple storyline. I don't like the "instant" success of the main character, and the plot twists are all very predictable as well. A very typical shoujo story with a typical shoujo ending, but still a very cheerful and innocent story.
this was a nice story. actually, its one of the few shoujos i've read where the heroine has some inner strength and self confidence. the story was kind of innocent, or had some innocent qualities to it, but more so than innocence, it was focused on making ones way in the world. i would have liked to have a more concrete ending, but it was in no way disappointing. worth the read.
a lovely story line, drawings are great, but the ending sucked a bit but other than that, its a must read. =) recommented for all shojo lovers
It was a rather cute manga but I didn't like the ending. Other than that I really liked it.
Lovely story.....boring sometimes but lovley.
Its going to end soon but I will miss the characters....not my best one mangaka, well...in the end a sweet shoujo story.
