The art is great, the story and characters are clichéd with no original exectution, no real development in either area, but I didn't REGRET reading it, and I guess that's the main point. A seven for being completely standard and enjoyable.

Goodness gracious mangakas, why, why, why? The story was built up so great and then, the inevitable happens, the ending came as fast as it could and was terrible. Cliffhanger...really though? I mean, this doesn't look like its getting a sequel so just wrap it up, and I mean WRAP IT UP. I guess lately I have just been reading too many good mangas that ended up with egregious endings.
Shitty Ending

"In the beginning, there was Jackals, and it was awesome."
This manga started out dark, violent and gory, with some of the better artwork I've ever seen. Helps that everything was being gloriously eviscerated by a dark-skinned, light-haired K-doppelganger wielding a giant serrated kitchen knife (Bleach, anyone?). The support characters were decently fleshed out too and set the stage for an interesting seinen gorefest.
But everything goes downhill from the halfway point. Tired storylines, cliched flashbacks to tragic pasts and oh-so-predictable deus ex machina appearances by previously unkown superpowers (and of course the known). By the last ten chapters it becomes a rehash of the worst aspects of Rurouni Kenshin and Shin Angyo Onshi combined with a swiss cheese worth of plot holes enough to make the most seasoned reader wince. Its rare to see manga detiorate so rapidly and in such egregious form that it makes one wonder if the original author had died and been impersonated by Stefanie Meyer (touch wood). Even its incredible art begins to flag in its visceral impact and unique style at the end, eventually looking like a cgi reproduction of typical shounen-action art (thank god Bleach hasn't gotten to that point yet).
I give this a 7 simply based on the sheer awesomeneness present in first half of the manga. Considering anything after that would be just sad, and a disservice to the huge potential this one had.
Fuck you.

Decent shonen/seinen, but ends too quickly?

Both the writer and artist are very creative; you can tell that they've put in quite a bit of effort into designing the looks of the characters, be it costumes, weapons, or fighting styles etc (the artist is evidently heavily inspired by King of Fighters--main character looks like K'.) The feeling I get from this manga is a bit like a modern-day Rurouni Kenshin. It's classed as a Seinen for the violence presumably, but story-wise it's more like a Shonen.
The build-up to the conclusion feels less than climatic however (I'm into the second-last volume), and I doubt if the author can tie everything up neatly in the last volume. As such, I'm expecting a weak ending...

Yes, like my subject says, the artwork really caught my attention. I like reading most Seinen and shounen because it provides really good-looking guys in action for me. And this one...MAN, two good-looking dudes equalled a few for me! I really like how the bodies are drawn for both men and women in this one and, though I'm not a big fan of TOO much blood, I think the action was totally heating!

Lots of fighting that at first glance looks almost real real. Realistic world and all characters obey some form of physics laws. I really like the art and the style. Blood, gore and violence - when needed, drama - when needed. Almost nothing out of place.
Cool enough...

This manga is cool enough. I especially like that the lead guy is half Puerto Rican...Hah now that's different considering that most mixes in manga are Euorpeon/Asian in origin. The art is nice, not the best I've seen, but nice. I like the characters enough even if the story line hasn't just pulled me in as of yet. Over all, if you're looking for something to tide you over till your fav manga's are updated then I'd recommend this.

Lots of blood, gore, wicked weapons, action filled fighting and good looking guys...now this is entertainment! The Art is great, the fighting is morbid and the plot is coming along nicely, even the characters are likeable. I'm really looking forward to the next chapter

Has too many cliché stuff in it and it may get really annoying, the art is totally cool, but the history isnt too special, and the way the main character acts is really annoying... yet, I cant say I'd recommend it for anyone, too bad the proyect is with no signs of life...
