It was actually nice

First of all, the art is gorgeous. Can you actually count this one as bara(semi?)? I don't care, actually.

I was never a fan of Stockholm's Syndrome(romantic feelings from rape), but I got a feeling that there's more to it than Shuuji(the uncle) raping the kid. I know rape is unacceptable, but this story shows more than just that. I think it's better than most yaoi manga out there because the love Shuuji has for Reo had a deeper cause, and Reo too, likewise. It was somewhat a refreshing story, regardless of the fact that these kind of themes are always repeated. But,
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I never expected that his friend would betray him... I really expected that Shuuji would be in that particular place in that particular hour. That's yaoi manga for you! :D

The second story was fluffy and cute. I don't think I can say anything more.

Maybe the first story isn't all that original, but still well developed and enjoyable. What really made me laugh was the second story though. With the Uke's growth spurt which made him look 'not cute anymore', and the seme geting fat of all the bento.^^
I thought it was so funny and original to play around a bit with the stereotype, perfect appearances of our beloved yaoi characters bigrazz
It was refreshing!

I was a bit iffy about whether or not I'd like this but I was attracted by the art and actually ended up liking it quite a lot. First of all the art didn't dissappoint and even the first story turned out to be a bit more complex then you might initially think.

Sexual abuse is never acceptable. Still, I thought here there were at least some redeeming factors. I've heard it before that even though it's never the victim's fault, it's only natural for them to have ambiguous feelings towards their abuser. I felt the situation in this manga portrayed that kind of relationship rather well. In the beginning Shuuji had a positive influence on Reo's life so it's a given there would be a strong attachment. I didn't think Reo was in love with his "uncle" at the time when their relationship changed but then again as a foundation for an actual romantic relationship I find this more believable than the "from strangers to lovers through rape" type of situation often seen in yaoi. The way I see it, Reo rejecting Shuuji was more due to his confusion about the situation than anything else.

As for characters I didn't dislike Shuuji because he wasn't just your standard perverted uncle praying on his unsuspecting step-son. I don't want to give spoilers but let's just say it turned out it really wasn't like that... And he did try to do what was best for Reo in the end. Also, Shuuji was a total hunk. I loved that manliness and that panel where he smiles... So handsome! Though I usually prefer an uke with a bit more spunk, Reo was pretty cute too and I liked his aggressiveness in the third chapter. smile

The only thing I didn't like about the story was (this might be a bit of a SPOILER) Reo getting tricked, trapped, forced and then rescued. I didn't see it coming but it was just a bit of a dissappointment. And Reo coming to terms with his feelings felt a bit rushed too but he final twist was nice though...

The second story was really funny but not as carefully constructed as the first one. It was just funny but enjoyable. I've read something before with the exact same setting and I liked that one too but other than that the idea doesn't seem too overused. I did like the second part better though. You rarely see weight related themes in yaoi, I was really surprised. It was cute!

I'd say, if you don't mind difficult themes and moral ambiguity in your manga, give this a try. If not, steer clear or only read the second story (chapters 3 & 4.) Personally, I really liked it but there were some issues with it. I'll give it a 9.3/10.

I don't really get the high scores, but everybody have different tastes I guess. The first story was bad, I would rate it with 1,5 or 2 and the second one with 5 or 6. nothing special really. the first one was about sexual abuse. If you think otherwise, think about it more. The second story was nice, as for the idea (don't remember to see anything like that), but it was too short and it could be done better. Good art, not great, but above average.

well, if you like shotacon you might like it.... I don't want to be that critical. there are worse yaoi out there. just not my piece of cake.

It turned out to be very interesting. At first I thought it would be the cliche kid with a bad home life falls in love with his friend that saves him from the perverted uncle, but it surprised me. I really didn't expect that to happen either or may be i'm stupid. XD
The second story was adorable and one that could truly happen, well at least happen more commonly.
The only things you would have to be warned about if you'd like to read this is that there are some moral issues to the first story but I found it was OK for me since they weren't related, but i guess you could call it rape. (I don't really think it was...)

I'm not a fan of rape. Not even when they make up and they're all in love. It's just sick and twisted. At first I thought this was a rape type manga, but my-oh-my! did this throw me off, I did NOT see that coming in the 1st story. I had kept reading b/c the art is superb, but it makes for a really interesting story. So yeah, I recommend this, for sure.

(I kinda hope I'm not the only one that didn't see that coming, otherwise I feel really dumb xD)

I had mixed feelings about the whole situation in the first story, but if you don't think about the moral aspect, the story is nice.

The second story was cute and funny! Not anything deep, though. As most yaoi stories, the plots are a bit extreme. But we also read manga to experience something that might not occur in our daily life. So... What I am trying to say is... This is a fun read, a bit illogical and not that deep. Oh, and the art is fine!

SECOND STORY WAS H-I-L-A-R-I-O-U-S

But first I wanna talk about the first story since it was really sweet and unexpected. But, I think after they declared their love for each other, Shuuji-san's characters turned a complete 180 degrees. Like, woah weren't you so distant just a couple of pages ago? What I'm trying to say is he suddenly turned into this sweet older lover after treating Reo so coldly. I wish they could've taken it step by step. Hm, how to explain it better...something like this (1, 1-2, 1-2-3) but instead we got a (1, 1-4, 4-10). Comprendre? lol I feel like I just babbled about something others wont even care about.

Well, anyway..I still liked their relationship.
Spoiler (highlight to view)
Thank gosh it wasn't a love triangle.
I was afraid it would head into that direction. The situation would've been too frustrating to deal with. And knowing Reo's character he wouldn't have been able to handle it well. So I'm glad he was inlove with Shuuji-san only (I dont wanna use uncle since they're lovers). And I wouldn't have guessed
Spoiler (highlight to view)
that the guy Reo saved was Shuuji-san since he was drawn unshaved at first.
This story had a lot of suprising turn of events. Oh and the art's pretty. *sigh* It's always a pleasure to read a story where the art isn't the only appealing factor.

Now moving on to the 2nd story. I kept laughing with every page I turned, even when they were having sex. I love how the uke's concern was not being girly enough. I mean gah...I dislike shoujo looking ukes so why complain!! And the sempai was really patient ..not the cliche stern, never-know-what-he's-thinking seme. AND WHAT'S MORE...the 2nd part's is on the seme's point of view. Ahh, bless the author! I got so excited when I read the first box. And what's cuter than having your lover stress over such a trivial thing
Spoiler (highlight to view)
regarding the fact that Riku mentioned sempai's body being good and "soft". So cute. It's a fair trade. If Riku's insecure about looking more boy-like (which he shouldn't be) I think it's nice that Sempai's also insecure about becoming fat.

Btw, this was the author's first manga so i'm giving her major props. I hope they scanlate the rest of her works.

this manga is actually not all that bad... i like the twist in the main story about reo's friend and the relationship between reo and "uncle"... i actually like and enjoy the rape sences cause it shows that "unlce" was really obsessed with reo where he then explaned in ch. 2 (or was it ch.3??).... it was really cute how reo's feelings develops for "uncle". one thing that i wished was different will be for "uncle" to tell reo to stop calling him "uncle" but shuuji.

i enjoyed the second story a lot... it was SUPER cute ^^
and everyone else pretty much said what i wanted to say...

About the first story(main story), at first I thought it will be a boring story and i was thinking I will delete this manga. Judging by the cover, I thought the uke will end up with his uncle instead of his friend and his friend who love him will be pitiful. I thought its gonna be a cliche and boring story.
However, the twist in the end really surprises me and it turns out this manga is quite a good one. The second story also is cute.

Consider this is the first manga of sensei, I give it 10 smile))
Im looking forward to read more of sensei's work!
