Yeah, the guy is ten and she's seventeen, and as a seventeen year old girl myself I can't imagine falling for a ten year old, but hey, it's a manga, so whatever lol. THIS MANGA IS SO CUTE. Like, I couldn't stop smiling and my heart kept squeezing and whatnot. So adorable! One of my favs, definitely. I've read it, like, four times since I first discovered it at 15. Loves. <3

I know the guy is very mature for 10 year old but his my baby brothers age and no matter how I try not to think about it happening to him, I can't. It really just does not work for me. It gives me shivers (in disgust) just thinking about it. She could be labelled a paedophile you know.
However, I do admit that there are some parts that made me go awww BUT then I realise the guy is 10 years old. It would have been better if she wasn't 17 years old but a bit younger.. 15? OR they could have made him older as well.
Read it when you don't have anything else to read.

I loved this manga! It might sound strange the main lead being 10 years old but it doesnt feel strange. He is so mature and lovable that i cant help rooting for him. And his love for her is so complete and sweet that it makes me all mushy inside. Also the art is very simple and very fitting to the story. I very much enjoyed reading this. It is worth your time.

Although it's a sweet read but it's pretty boring at the same time. I thought I could see them get married at the end or maybe see the little kid grow up into a fine man but there's nothing like that. The story might be nice, drawing is okay but there's not much development. It shouldn't have 4 volumes if the story doesn't develop that much. I gave it an 8 mainly because of...HAGANE!! Haha, he's so cute and sweet. Although he's not the main character, but he's so funny and gentle!

Just a couple of extra pages on the end of the last chapter and this would've been perfect for me. Something to show what happened after Fuuma grew up and them getting married or having kids, if that was the way the author imagined the ending (because presumably, she wouldn't have them going their separate ways?).
That aside, I felt sometime the panelling was slightly imaginative and I didn't always understand what was going on. It was a "miss a panel miss the story" storytelling. Personally it kind of bothered me that a seventeen year old fell in love with a ten year old but that's just me, and you expect that when you pick this up. Overall I felt like this was missing something, and the lack of an ending lowered my rating of this series.

when i read the first chapter i kinda didn't like it, it felt unrealistic for a child to do or act like that.
good thing i decided to stick a little longer, i got used to the manga and story got better and better.

I loved this story, I really did.
It actually made me cry! Totally worth the time.
I'm very fond of Older female - Younger male mangas, they are really fun to read. But either way, I find this story a bit better than Merupuri(At least it's a bit more realistic). Anyhow I really love Fuuma, you can tell he really does love and care for Satoko, plus his way of thinking is amazing!
This manga really left a print on me and I hope the following readers will like it too!

I LOVE IT

I absolutely love this manga! I may be biased, seeing how I actually enjoy the category "Older Female Younger Male" - ah! But I don't like those hentai, ecchi, yaoi, shotacon types... this manga totally fit my needs. The male protagonist Fuuma is so cute. He is very intelligent and mature; however, being only ten years old, he can't help but incidentally show his childish side to his fiance. He's very kind and caring to her, and you can obviously see he really loves her. He's truly going to grow up a wonderful man. And his fiance Sakoto is very sweet. Although she's completely against the arranged marriage at first, as she spends more time with Fuuma and realizes just how great of a young man he is, she slowly falls for him. I seriously love all the scenes they have together, whether it be Fuuma or Sakoto blushing at each other to when they become jealous~ everything is so heartwarming. Plus, it doesn't just focus on Fuuma and Sakoto, this manga also pays attention to subordinate characters too! And their stories are so cute as well. I just seriously wish the manga could be longer! At least a sequel! I wanna see Fuuma all grown up! >.<

I thoroughly enjoyed this series and despite negative reactions to the art, there was something very cute and endearing about it. I like how the mangaka can portray honest emotions without sullying the mood. Even as she cried I felt sad and laughed and felt many things at once. That, and I like age gaps bigrazz

Pleasantly surprised...

Note: I did not read the extra at the end… and never will… This review is solely for the main story Dear Mine

The cutesy story is full of great moments, that I found relatively unique (though a few cliché’s will be found…), that will make you’re heart melt. Beginning this manga I wasn’t quite sure what to expect, the cover wasn’t all that appealing to me, the premise was a common one in shoujo, and the only reason I began reading it was because I was bored. I was pleasantly surprised by the enjoyment I got out of this manga.

Plot- A very simple plot and it stays simple. The pace is amazing though! The slow developing relationship between Satoko and Fuuma was excellent, a great pace was set and kept between them for the duration of the story, beginning and ending their story perfectly!

Characters- I really enjoyed Satoko and Fuuma! They were great characters; Satoko was a very normal girl who is likable and upbeat. Fuuma is much more serious and stoic but gets so flustered at times, some his reactions are just so cute! While the mains were great the secondary characters however… they weren’t as great. I didn’t enjoy them all that much, some of them just got on my nerves to much. But as I continued to read I began to like them a bit better although they still didn’t compare to the mains. (Though without them the story would be half as good as it is.)

Art- This art style isn’t my favorite style but I could still enjoy it, even if at times it was a bit sketchy.

Other- The story is a romance, if you’re looking for a complex plot with many twists and turns skip this, I can see how you may find this a bit boring. If you’re looking for a comedy don’t expect this story to be to funny either, contrary to what genre’s its listed under this story doesn’t have comedy. Not that that’s bad, but if you’re searching for a more lighthearted, carefree, hilarious manga this isn’t really what you’re looking for.
I don’t usually like large age gaps, four years is about as far as I’m comfortable with, anything more I get uncomfortable and start switching around the characters ages in my head so they are closer together in age. So with this story the two characters are seven years apart, that’s a stretch for me, what makes it even more unrealistic is that the boy is only ten, very young. However the boy is so mature that it’s hard to think of him as ten, so with this manga I was again setting him a few years older than he was. But while I would have rather they were a bit closer in age I still liked their relationship and enjoyed this manga and recommend this for anyone interested.

8/10 –Was good
