In the beginning, the notes warn us that this story deals with teenage pregnancy problems. I was hoping for a mature story about this, what I got was a wacky on-crack manga instead.

The two protagonists, a girl who thinks condoms are candy, and a guy who has no idea he's impregnating this girl every time he has sex with her. They are idiots, none of them had sex education at all, so when the girl took a pregnancy test because her friends made her do it, and it's positive, the guy freaks out. But of course, we're dealing with a happy on-crack manga here, so the guy goes all out and takes care of this 'test baby' someone left in their care to see if they could be parents.

The problem is, we're shown that he's exhausted caring for the baby, that the yelling is wearing him down. But everything is simply forgiven because the baby is 'adorable'. Yeah, that's a great reason to be teenage parents; because the baby is adorable.

Real issues such as working to pay for food, getting a place to live, having no free time - are really simply glossed over. They're mentioned, but they're never mentioned in that serious sense they should be mentioned. Abortion is mentioned as 'killing the baby' and 'scarring the girl' (great wording!), and of course, the two idiots think it's better to raise the baby than to abort it.

This manga is definitely not taking teenage pregnancy serious. I mean, what kind of role model is it to let two complete idiots take care of a baby? They almost killed the test baby twice because they had no clue on what to do. No, you should read this manga with only happy thoughts. Issues aren't dealt with, teenage pregnancy looks like something really cute, and idiots for parents are great!

Though I did like the two characters. They are fun and wacky, but I feel like they were put in the wrong story, wacky idiots troubled with teenage pregnancy really doesn't mesh well together. This is only a crack story that people should read when they want something funny, not something that takes things seriously.

It tackles the best and worst of human condition with regards to teenage pregnancies. It's a heavy subject but I feel like it was handled way better than I expected in the span of three volumes. Just a warning though, this manga still looks at teenage pregnancy through rose-tinted glasses.

Gave it an 8.5 because of the ridiculousness of the massively idiotic couple (and I kept wondering where they were getting the money to buy stuff when the chapter came up). Well, I guess it was their hilariousness that made the manga stand out for me.

at first was skeptical with this manga at first. however, it was really a good one. it made me cry and laugh. truly, i was touch by shigure and yuki's determination to have the baby. though the art might not be that good but the story makes up for it. i absolutely recommend it.

Why is it every manga dealing with the option of abortion portrays it as "dangerous"? If done by a qualified doctor it's simple and a whole lot less 'risky' than carrying the child through all the way...

an excellent manga, the two are really stupid in the beginning but later on they seem to get smarter. it is short but the characters are great and it has extreme comedy as well as romance. it is a must read. the second paragraph has the parts i thought were funniest. read the manga and find out how it goes.

they need a lesson in sex education! "so they're not candy" lmao! "and his wee-wee goes puru puru" i need another lol word omg!! their gonna kill that kid!!! omfsob!!XD "i'm going to have a baby, so is it okay if i give birth?" the look on their faces, priceless!! *collapsed*x-x. omg, what does stupid + stupid equal? i know what happens in 2012.

This was probably one of the coolest mangas that made me laugh and almost cry at the same time! Maaaan....the main characters are beyond stupid...I don't know what they're going to be like when they're older cause they'd prob be dead in real life, but oh well, it's a manga =-)

If you're looking into a deep, dramatic look into pregnancy, then I wouldn't recommend this to you. If you're looking for a light read with two lovable idiotic leads then you'll love this manga. I laughed so hard throughout the entire thing and beside being two idiots, the main characters' relationship is sweet.

haha! this was great! yuki and shigeru really are complete idiots, but loveable, adorable, and cute idiots. the story broached a more realistic topic that i've never read about in a manga, which is refreshing. i was actually reeeally hesitant to read this, but i'm glad i got bored and read it. it was really worth it. it's not one of those mangas that leaves you with a sad feeling at the end because it's over, but a satisfied one. you experience a range of emotions, certainly with laughter at the forefront, as others have said.

and the art! i really liked that too. it's not the typical style, but leaning towards almost a punk, unique style. it wasn't awkward at all. (you know, how sometimes you squint at the page/screen, and you go.. "is that her eye.. ?!?" or.. "is that angle really natural?") my favorite character drawn was ruuui<333. pretty~.

i loved all the shigeruxyuki moments, they were so cute! how yuki was always so protective of her was adorable also~ i really liked how their love was so pure and innocent, despite that they were having sex all the time. .. which i would have thought completely impossible before i read this. XD

When I first saw this I thought to myself, "prego teens, baby mama drama... pass". I could never in a million years imagine myself reading and enjoying a story such as this one. But I was wrong. Dead wrong. I don't know why, but I felt compelled to give it a shot and was instantly swept away by the charm of the characters. By the end I felt myself rideing along side them on their rollercoaster of struggles and i'm not the type to get worked up by the plot. Despite the serious nature of the subject matter, the author managed to keep it light and comical without misrepresenting the true nature of Teenage Pregnancies. A true achievement! Don't get me wrong, i know better than most (not from personal expierence but by close association) that being a teenage mother is not nearly as easy or fun as this manga makes it seem. It's tough and hard and you sacrifice alot but no matter how hard you try or how much you sacrifice you'll still feel it's not enough. But that's beside the point. The purpose of this story is not to warn you of the struggles you'll face if you become a teenage mom/ dad but to tell the story the author wanted to tell the way she wanted to tell it.
I don't think this story would have worked had the main characters not been such niave idiots (and, no, I'm not being harsh, they're dumb, unbelievably dumb, just read it). If it weren't for their unabashed stupidity, It would have been just another teen drama and I would have gotten frustrated and droped it after the first volume. It's because of their idiotic nature that I became so attached to them. And it's because of their nature that the plot managed to stay so hopeful and optimistic.

This is truely a must read!

P.S.- I never give 10's and even though this isn't the best or most moving manga I've ever read, I can't imagine giving it anything else

The art is cute, a lot of hilarious poses from different characters, makes you love them no matter how foolish they are. Only looking at the pictures you get pretty much the flow of the story, fast energetic and a bit crazy pace and that's the charm over all.
Quick plot development from the beginning till around chapter 9 or so, after that the story slowing down a bit, but picked up at the end.
All in all, lots of hilarious and touching situations, I love how Miyachu sensei pushed everything to the extreme (Yuki whatever he does just so crazy. monkey instead) here and there, some corny cheesy moments, for example when the principal tries to get close to the students and how Yuki helps her by making fun of the Pink/ man jersey, I think that's push a bit far.
I can keep coming back to read this one and still crack up or get all teary eyes. Even the omakes are so damn funny with the bird eating noodles lol.
I just hope when my sister read this she's not gonna think pregnancy is so much fun ehem.
