Love it and hate it...

I watched the anime like many other out there and i really liked it. But even though i liked it i kinda disliked it too. It was just too heartbreaking. When i read the manga apadtion i kinda hoped that i might find it less heartbreaking but when i read it now it is just as sad as i remember it... Especially when you know the ending already.
The manga by it self is nice. If you haven't seen the movie/ anime you might find this a good read (based on chapter 1-3). The art is alright with detailed backgrounds and all. And the characters well... If it follows what i know about the movie is true here too then the characters aren't shallow.

This is really such a sweet (not to mention sad) series.

Since the main two characters are really the only characters you learn about, you grow really attached to them. Hearing their stories through their letters to each other makes my eyes water... But then again that might just be because it's late at night. All in all, I think it's adorable, though heart-breaking at times.

the anime is one, and might be the only one, that made me avoid it once i finished it. not that it wasn't good. in the contrary, it's really good, it's great! but the sadness the protagonist has to suffer is just unbearable. love suffering, which intensified in the last scene (ending song), plunged me into bluish-green melancholy.

and here comes the manga adaptation. and here i only talk about the anime. and here i remembered how sad the story was.
