A great read for fans of the genre. A collection of shorts that feature some truly frightening images, some of which stick with you long after. The stories are set up quickly but with believable subjects that add depth to the scare.

As a long time fan of Japanese horror in past and modern history, I found this collection to be a compelling expression of the powerful sensation of fear that I've come to love. Needless to say, fans of the films Ringu, Ju-On and Kairo will find a lot to love here.

This is an excellent manga, I'm really lucky I came across it. I specially adore "Message" from volume 01, and "Tacit agreement" from volume 02 (which is my all time favorite story from this manga). It's really nice to read at night, too. ♥
I will be forever grateful to the translator, more manga like this one should be translated.

I like horror stories and all, but MY GOD, this freaks me out. I'm used to stories that come to a definite conclusion, but when reading this, be prepared for unexplained occurrences and eyes that just...watch you. That keep watching you. *shiver*

An interesting read if you've got some company. And probably not right before bedtime.

devoid of any characters or plots we can invest ourselves into, the 'creep' factor is way down. readers need a way to insert themselves into the story but these short vignettes have nothing to hold on to thus i'm unable to finish this.

I've only read the 3rd volume, (last night), and I thought it was funny laugh but some pictures (I felt) have sounds effects! like... DUNN. Now I have to overcome going to the washroom at night again..

But I didn't find the eyes (in volume 3) that creepy. splat! (and they look at each other after splat! So cute!!)

I didn't like all the eyes that were spread throughout the manga. They were annoying.

The stories weren't very scary? I did get a slight chill when I read through some of them, but for the most, I was really annoyed at all the eyes. They were really very irking. I remember one of the stories was really funny, in a stupid sort of way. LOL.

Anyway, I was sorely disappointed by the first volume. I don't think I'll be reading this again.

I read this at night and in the day and I wasn't as scared. I think it might have something to do with watching the Guinea Pig films already. The art is okay, but the stories should be at least seven pages.

It wasn't scary... I was a bit disappointed because of that.
The first volume was the best, in my opinion.
Favorite stories would be v1 ch24, and v2 ch14.

Japan sure has some interesting ghost stories.
And I liked that some were "just there", without any particular purpose.
All kinds of spirits. Good variety.
The art was nice.

I wonder why so few people have read it.
Then again, it has been on my wish list for years until I've read it=/

Worst horror ever. Nothing scary, even though I do understand that most of the short stories are based on Japanese superstitions that are unfamiliar to foreigners. But I was mostly bothered by the fact, that the stories were 3-5 pages long. No explanations, nothing, just flashing random scenes.

Utter shit.
