I was ADDICTED to this series and just could not put it down! The art and main character weren't the best, but the plot and character development totally make up for it.
I'm a SUCKER for the serious "sensei" type ♥♥♥

I hate to write this review, but this manga was dull

This manga is dull. I notice that I’m probably one of the only few saying this, but this Manga was dull. What makes it dull are the characters and some unnecessary conflicts that happen during the series.
To start, the main characters—the main girl, the main man and the main girl’s friends are all flat. Their emotions are flat, and though they apparently claim to develop during the series, which is partly true since they are not completely the same in the end, they are still dull and don’t have much going for them except getting involved in each other’s drama.
I understand that they are high schoolers, but even high schoolers have more personalities than the ones that I saw here. In other words, the characters weren’t fully well rounded, lacked personality and I feel that the author could honestly done better.
The next thing, some conflicts were unnecessary and didn’t have to happen. Well I just didn’t want to happen.
How many times did outside girls interfere with the main girl’s and the main male’s relationship? I understand where some of the interference was needed for character growth, but the rest was the author simply being lazy in thinking up better ideas.
Another problem that I had with this story was how chii-Chan (one of the main girl’s friend) looked. I didn’t like was how Chii-San was portrayed. Was she supposed to be ugly? Why? So wavy hair and big lips are ugly? Why? I noticed that during the course of the manga, although the drawings got better, the artist or author really tried to make chii-Chan look unattractive compared to the female lead. And then, I guess they realized that they were doing a disservice to one of their own characters and made chii-Chan look as “normal” as everyone else at the end.
Even though I love teacher and student romance mangas, I couldn’t get into this manga no matter how hard I tried. And every time I watched the male lead or his female teacher friend get at times wrapped up with the drama of the high schoolers, I would think, “What are they doing playing with kids? They could do better.”
However, one thing I did enjoy about the manga was the relationship between the male lead and the female lead. Though it wasn’t much, the male lead didn’t pressure the female lead into doing something that she didn’t want to do. In other words, he didn’t have sex with her, like some other Senseis do with their female students. The male lead respected the female lead as she did to him. Nonetheless, he still could’ve explained to her the misunderstanding with his ex girlfriend, so they wouldn’t had broken up the first time. It wasn’t a hard thing to do.
One reviewer said that this story takes a realist approach to the teacher and student romance, I agree with them but I wish the author could done better in terms of adding more personality to the female lead, male lead, and the other characters. I wish she made some of the events more interesting but that’s just my own opinion. Don’t just take my word for it, go and read the manga and form your own opinion of the series.

THANK YOU, O Godly Ones, for continuing to work on this! Many thanks to Fairfyfly for finally giving us another release after Selene Scans dropped it nearly two years ago. The folks at Selene did a great job, but I'm glad that their good work didn't go to waste, and that Fairyfly know a worthy project when they see it.
Now for the actual review... I usually flinch away from teacher/student romances, because they're often badly done and unrealistic, but this one's a rare gem that doesn't magnify the necessary melodrama that comes with such a relationship, and keeps things very sweet and real. Heartache with a touch of realism and character development - just what the doctor ordered! (Or he would order it, anyway, if he knew what was good for me. )

I adore this manga, it's like a cool breeze.. the feeling it gave me while I read it. I wish some group would pick this up where it's left off because it's a very cute manga.. usually i'm not so much into student-teacher manga but this one is not cheesy at all

The story is nothing mind blowing. But I love it how the relationship develop slowly over time. I can't wait to read more.

I was hesitant to pick this up at first since I'm not such a fan of this kinds of relationship, but since it was by Kawahara sensei, I thought why not? So I did and I'm glad I did. It's a refreshing series. The characters are awesome the lines are great, the interactions are fresh. Everything is really nice. It's a very cute shoujo manga that I am sure everyone will love.

Ah this is a great manga from beginning to end. I really enjoy sensei's work, but the art is a little dated. None the less it was still great, particularly when it shows the characters in chibis. This story sort of reminded me of the story "Kiss", so i recommend it highly.

Yes, must thank fairyfly for picking this up. the last release left at a bad point lol.
Aside from the good story, I really found the artwork in this series interesting. It starts off almost like a black and white watercolor style, and as the series progresses, it evolves into the style that you see in Koukou Debut. I'll give it a 10/10 just for that alone.

Kazune's manga style is very intriguing and Sensei is no different. The story as well as the art is very cute and you'll love it if you're a fan of student/teacher relationship mangas. ^^
