Entertaining with some few artistic moments

After seeing some comments here, I wonder why there are so many people able to read manga but not genres and tags / categories on this side - as this manga delivers what the description says. Critics upon this, are just uncalled for. Critics reagrding the execution of the story however are justified by any means, specially with this story.
Nevertheless I can still recommend this manga if one doesn't held the expectation astronomicaly high. This manga is basically a hentai, so its primary focus is (who could have guessed) on the intercourse with random events leading to the obvious act. But if one is able to detach this 'hentai forced events' - let me call them that way - one will find a much greater meaning to the story: Notions of love relationships that aren't ment to be and the sentiment of unreached longig. Yes very overused topic in this genre indeed, but I don't go with the expectation of finding some kind of enlightenment in a mainly ero-oriented story. Still there were some few moments in the story were I paused and gazed upon the panel. This rare moments, which I liked art and story wise (on of them being the ending) is the reason why I can recommend this manga.
If one is interested in an average incest borderline-h story with overused topics but some intense moments, than this may be something for you.

A crime against narrative and story structure.

Everything I was gonna say has already been addressed by BADKARMA a few posts prior. It looks like the one good thing that came from Japan's child protection act was that it put this dull, lifeless series out it's misery.

I don't mind incest when it's done right, like Flowers of Evil or Koi Kaze (which imo tried too hard to be taboo), but Aki-Sora is just so lifeless and incoherent that it makes me very angry inside. Aki is the standard yamate nadeshiko nee-chan found throughout the hentai world. You know the one that bows bends to her brothers every beck and call, and is devoid of any personality or existence outside of her master's will. Sora is also the standard effeminate shota who's only purpose is act like a walking hard-on and engage in debaucherous sex w/ a naive youthful glee.

The main problem w/ this series seems to be that instead of focusing on one or two ideas it tries to cram all of the bad tropes, memes, and cliches from hentai into one short story and never properly develops any of it.

Oh well, the author sucks at h-manga as well, so I guess it's my own fault for giving her the benefit of the doubt.

clearly hentai

I have actually read some hentai stories with less sex than this series. The genres by which this series is classified are highly misleading. I've read there first seven chapters, so it's not as if I haven't given it a decent shot to prove me wrong. These are not "suggestive" in the least, it's straight up porn with the standard light saber censoring still present in a lot of hentai stories.

The story its interesting but I honestly don't understand why people insist on not classifying this with there genre it clearly goes out of its way to fit.

There are vivid graphic depictions of sexual acts as well as seminal/vaginal fluids.

The plot so far is mostly moved forward by trying to figure out which other character will have sex with the protagonist and which fetish she will incorporate in her scene(s).

As plenty of reviews have stated, it's not that I have a problem with it being porn; it's that the description is misleading.

review score affected by expectations set forth in gene description.

Not that great

At the beginning it seemed okay, as it started to get into the taboo subject of incest. It kind of showed the progression between loving another to lusting another, but it got very muddled towards the middle as it introduced more characters that seemed out of place. For example the girl that was an exhibitionist convinced the male protagonist to go on a date with her to pool where she basically paints a bathing suit on herself and goes and sunbathes nude and later in the chapter even tricks him to go an orgy with her where she loses her virginity to some random guy. The manga introduces her, I think, three times and the only reason I can think of why I remember her is because she did some nude modeling for the art club in one chapter. It dables in other subjects such as sexuality
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
where the twin sister questions why she was even born a woman because she loves her best friend. She eventually takes this frustration out on the protagonist, her twin brother, by threatening him into having sex with her
. Going towards the end, I could not even understand what the hell was going on as the manga started to have plot twists and such and continued to add sex scenes in practically every chapter, most of which had no real substance to the plot and were placed as if they were just there to appease the readers. So basically, don't read this if you want substance. If are gonna read it, better have some lotion and tissues at hand because it is basically a doujin with an "okay, but I don' really care" plot.

Some rants:
Why the hell does all the male protagonists from all the series done by this mangaka look like a fucking female? I understand Aki-Sora because twin siblings, but what the fuck is up with the other ones? The one manga where the guy can move his soul into inanimate objects is basically a chick, but with no hair. Also, why the fuck does all of his series need to have some sort of sexual exploitation? I get that it is subject that you would want to explore and let people know, but what the fuck dude? Seriously, can't you have done it a bit more eloquently or something?

So, everyone who read this, read it for an obvious reason.
Aside from that reason, this story isn't actually all that bad. Infact, it does get pretty emotionally engaging. The sex-scenes are sometimes in the right place, but many of them simply aren't necessary for the story. That said, I can't remember one that wasn't... hot for all the forbidden reasons.

But I found the story to be pretty tiresome. I like hentai and I like incest. Straight up. It's fun because I don't look for anything serious in manga. But I do like a plot as well, and if you're going to pretend to have a plot, then... have one.

This is HORRIBLY harem to the point of annoyance. I don't like the way most of the bodies are drawn, Sora, especially. He looks like a woman with wide, round hips and his passive, spineless personality was a turn off. I didn't care for the do-si-do with the "partners", the cross-dressing, and there was just something awful about that
Spoiler (highlight to view)
first orgy party where that girl lost her virginity. I guess I was looking for her to lose it with Sora, but when it just became something squick-worthy, I knew it was time to bail.
The entire scene left an icky, empty feeling behind that I didn't enjoy at all.

So, I stopped reading after that. I did see the OVA, and as usual, it was out of sequence with the manga, but accurate in the feeling it left behind...

I wanted to say that I thought this manga was excellent thus far and that chapter 6, contrary to what many have said, was the best chapter yet, convincing me that this manga is headed in a great direction. People who didn't like chapter 6 obviously were at ends with the very message it conveyed.

They Were Raised Together and They Are Blood-Related; No Fakecest, But a Wonderful, Realistic Portrayal of a Forbidden Relationship

This is a great, mature manga. Each chapter has a deep meaning that makes one contemplate. Read it slowly with an open mind, and you will not regret it. Remember, it is the author that decides what happens, not you, a right she has since she was the one that created the characters and the setting. There are not a lot of stories as well-done as this one.

The main male character is too feminine for my taste, and yes, the way the characters are drawn from a distance does make them look a little fat sometimes, but how almost each chapter leaves one thinking is simply amazing. Although the story may appear stand-alone or thw most part, the plot does progress, without the reader feeling or even needing it to, a sign of an expert mangaka.

Somebody complained that the protagonist, Sora, does not feel guilty after engaging in sexual relations with other girls, that he and his sister, Aki, do not have hesitation towards being intimate with each other, and that Aki does not feel special, however, I strongly disagree.

Every time that Sora was involved with another girl, it was because either he was forced, begged, or cornered. Remember, he was pushed to be with Kana, his shy classmate who likes him, by his tough twin sister, Nami, and he was officially available. It is not like Sora could just say, 'Sorry, guys, you see, my sister and I are "together," so I can't see anyone else.' At first, he thought that being with Aki is wrong, but he just could not answer her question, 'Why?' Their relationship's being taboo and how long it would last is also explored multiple times, such as in the chapter The Red Thread of Fate, where they think about having sex while tying a thread to their fingers at a temple, and the legend says that the couple is doomed if it rips. Sora also has feelings reserved for Aki. She occupies his thinking. Satsuki Runa, the girl who goes to the same school and lives in the same building as Sora, notices a few times as well that there is a girl that he loves. Further, Aki displays signs of jealousy of Nami and Kana sometimes. However, what she does not know can not hurt her.

I was going to say something mildly intelligent, but it appears Badkarma beat me to the punch and in a much bigger way. I don't think a professional could have written it better, and I'm quite critical of others spelling, grammar, etc.
Basically, there are plot holes a character flaws up the wazoo. The plot is that of a porno where the pizza guy delivers food and immediately gets his dick sucked upon opening the door, except the delivery boy and customer are related. I can take random comic boxes--not even the whole strip--from the Sunday newspaper every week and make a better storyline. At first, I was entertained (yea, yea, I like incest, but I'd NEVER do something like that in real life, blech *shivers*) and it seemed like it had promise. Then after seeing the same sex scene over and over, where nothing changed mentally (other than "it's not so bad fucking my sister") and they only explored more generic positions, I grew bored. This happened within the first 10 chapters. Like Badkarma said, he felt no guilt, or any emotion at that, other than the usual affection that comes with fucking your sister (lol, what am I saying... you get the idea, I hope). The only part that was half-way decent was Nami's jealousy towards Sora for fucking the chick she likes. It's a poor read and gets repetitive fast. Maybe too fast of development in every category. This probably would have been better as a oneshot. Sora has child-bearing hips. I can't believe it got serialized, but I supposed most people don't read it for the story bigrazz
