Dislike the main characters, I felt no chemistry between the two. It was as if she suddenly decided she missed and loved the guy when there was never a real connection that happened, and she just became dead set on it. She didn't mind that he was responsible for the death of her mother and that it took him the whole manhwa to even meet up with, to just get slashed by him. Like seriously girl, you're prolly just delusional, I see no love. The spoiled prince was an even better candidate for you but he was still annoying as he had a incestial relationship with his own BROTHER! Arghhh the only character I like would just have to be Preguses, the horse. His hair was nicely drawn and that was it.
All the main girl did was stayed back and played the damsel in distress as she constantly called out for the general, who I repeat, slashed her and then somehow makes up for it in her mind. The only two character I was glad that ended up together was the prince and the goddess of beauty.
This was intriguing at first but it dragged on and then became a total bore. The character even looks like a Red River ripe off. Him with blonde hair and she with boyish black hair. -_-

I tried to read this because the theme is something I kinda like. And wow I'm impressed I could read this to the end. Because since I finished Hot Blooded Girl, nothing from HMR I could read to the end, because it's always the same and the same characters she has in some works of her I've read.
Yes, I think it's the best ending. If the story were continued to the point where Matia really changes the land, then even that 15 volumes are just a prologue... And I don't have a confidence that HMR could make it longer without messing up the story, because for me it has been confusing enough. Toward the ending, so many names who-knows appeared. The idea is good, and IMO, from the angle of charas, chara development and relationship, it's also good. But for me that's it. Just like any other shoujo, everything else but those are... just a background.
And the female chara. What I think ridiculous is that for all the time it focused in Matia, we could see Matia have done almost nothing useful. And when Matia seems did something useful, we see it as a... time skip. Bwahahaha.
For the artwork, I'm so sorry, IMO it's horrible compared to the series with the same theme.

I don't know who could vote worse than an 8! Even though it's highly political, it has a great philosophy. If you understand the theme you'll also understand the end the author chose!
Also it's not a pleasure cruise, but a more serious story about how power over others corrupts people, for example.
@whoever said she should be togheter with the prince... think again, that guy is a sadist and has an unhealthy mind.

It was a cool manhwa for the most part, but I really felt the ending lacked a lot of things. It wrapped up none of the major love plots, none of the war(s), and seriously told us nothing. It was more like a cliffhanger than an ending.
That said, other than that I quite enjoyed it. Also, it seems like everyone in the royal house of... whatever... was bi.

this manga was pretty good....i was enjoying it...not as much as red river though. she was always put through sad times she had like no breaks that was annoying. it had great potential but then ending badly. i wish they would have finished the story but i undersand why they didnt. this story was good but not the best
The only manga of a similar nature I can compare this one with is Red River aka Anatolia Story. While AS is very well with character development and the plot, this one seems quite unreal. I mean, does the heroine know the hidden intentions behind her lovers' actions even at the very beginning of the manga? It seemed very unreal, and thus AWFULLY boring. I didn't even bother to go past a few volumes. It is GREATLY lacking compared to AS and would not recommed.

i recommend this overall, but the ending was not so good.
i mean, the only good thing change at the end was the general's new hairstyle and that prince tyon finally begun to be not so a brat and ahem, not so obsessed with Lamodes...then, in the end, he just reverted back. -_-; like as if the character didn't develop AT ALL! even Matia changed to someone i don't really like...sigh. really different from the stuff i've read and it wasn't boring - i'll give credit for that. there wasn't much romance, quite dark in some parts too. very catchy manga. the ending disappointed me.
its still worth a read though.

this manwha is really original hwang mi ri kind of work seeing the plot and everything ^^ i enjoyed this alot and tell you what all of hwang mi ri's work has a little twist doesnt it? *wink wink*

The art is a bit sketchy and not as appealing as in other manwha at first, but the story and the characters make up for it. And the Greece-of-old settings... how can you resist it ;).

its the best manhwa that i've ever read! although i don't like the incest and gayish stuff ancient greek couldn't be apart from those.
if you like history and myth i highly recommend this one
