I think this is a very good plot to work with. Two people who marry for the wrong reasons end up falling in love later. The art work is appealing and the guy is hot enough to trigger a woman's fantasy. I am excited about this project because there arent enough mature romance mangas in josei catagory. The tint of smut makes it ever so more appealing!! This has great potential and I really hope it lives upto it. The crucial element for good smut is to paint the right background. The development of romance has to be there and the mangaka has to take her time giving the characters enough depth that the reader gets absorbed in their world. So I really hope this series goes in that direction.
This mangaka has Private Prince in her previous works, so it gives me hope that this series could be long. So I would say the series is good so far and shows promise.The chemistry between the main two characters is really good!! I hope this series carries on for a while. There aren't enough series like this out there so I am definately rooting for this one!!

I've noticed a lot of people talking about domestic abuse issues with this manga, particularly about I read through the first 34 chapters of this series years ago, so I cannot judge this part of it much since I don't remember that happening, however I have my own fish to fry when it comes to domestic abuse in this series, at least what I have seen towards the end:

i saw my little sister reading this series and i just have to give it a shot. And after reading it to ch 20 in a few hours i gotta] say this, I LOVE IT ALL THE WAY. DEFINALTY GOTTA BUY IT! Love the storyline, love thr characters and the plot and i love the comedy to it all. S

Let me ask you this, cause I am non-asian. Is it against Japanese traditions, life style, upbringing to ask straight forward questions?
The synopsis seemed attractive and entertaining so I started reading. Then it did start getting repetitive like stated by others. After a while it started getting exhausting to keep reading. I have however this sickness I have to finish the manga I have started so I keep reading. At least the art is fine. Chiwa was simply cute with her ditzy way at the beginning. Now she is just annoying. As another character in the manga states, all she does is cry and I wonder if she even goes to the bathroom without speaking first to/getting the permission from Hokuto.
I understand, accept even expect a little; a certain level of ditzyness from the heroin of a shoujo manga but when a 23 year old woman breaks down at every turn and bump I suspect mental retardation. And when a 23 year old woman makes her husband her sole purpose of living, source of happiness I recommend urgent counseling. Don't get me wrong, I am not saying you shouldn't be devoted to your husband nor that his happiness is not important. But if it is the SOLE reason for your being then you are neither cute nor smart. Thus my exhaustion and annoyance with this Manga. Also, the guy is not 100% in the head either but I am too exhausted of this manga to go into detail.
If you can forgo of logic and have time on hand with which you do not know what to start, it is an ok manga with decent art to waste time.

I read it, but don't actually enjoy it much. Chiwa is just spineless and quite annoying. Hokuto was a jerk to start with, but is the only character with actual growth in the manga. Chiwa is still the same crybaby who jumps to conclusions she's been since the first chapter. She's also not even slightly understanding about the feelings of her husband towards his past and family. I don't like how she's portrayed as right in the situations that come up. She's also pretty much a giant hypocrite



Though his faults lie in still doing things that he probably knows will upset her. Then she gets upset and you find out again he's not doing what she suspects him of doing, but this pattern continues. She doesn't have much trust in him at all and is very insecure because of his actions . Their problems could be easily solved if they actually talked to each other honestly for once. It's definitely not an adult romance despite them being married. Her other manga Private Prince was a lot more enjoyable and you got the feeling the relationship was between equals.

The relationship between the two characters is really interesting. It's a love/hate relationship and I think that's a very realistic view of marriage. I loved the plot and the character development. You really get the feeling of "growing together" in this manga and I like it's pretty typical but not overly gushy! I loved Chiwa's strong and hard working personality but I also loved her weak side because it just shows how human she is. Hokuto is definitely one I had to adjust to though. I didn't like his selfish, arrogant side at first and I thought that his character would probably be the reason why Id stop reading the manga but he proved me wrong! You start to see that under all of that, he just wants to love and be loved. They're a pretty great couple in my opinion, a more realistic couple than other couples out there in the manga world.

Is there a law that forbids making a shoujo or josei smut manga with a strong female lead? Yet another story about a weak girl who depends on her husband to literally save her. On top of being weak, the girl has no ambitions or goals other than to make her husband happy. and in return, her husband calls her an idiot and slaps her. sadly the manga doesn't treat this as a domestic violence issue, or even remotely hints that this is not how a husband should behave. so we have readers here who think this is normal and appropriate behavior. so sad...

Okay, sure you guys say that its not a good manga just because husband slapped wife but hey, I'm a girl too, and look at it this way --its always been wife slapping husband, isn't that considered violence too? And its not like he abuses her. And didn't Chiwa slap Hokuto many times before?

After reading the first chapter, I couldn't help but ask for more. Give this a try... at least read up to chapter 9 *melt melt melt.* It's funny and wow... the sexual tension is amazing. I can't wait to see how this series ends!

I love this manga! I know it's only 3 chapters in (scanlated) but I can't get enough! It's sweet, funny, romantic. Yeah, the origins of the story aren't realistic, but once it happens, everything else seems pretty plausible, characters' actions anyhow. I can't wait for more!
