First off, let me say that i luv the anime, AND the series. Now, second off, im posting this rating for 2 reasons, 1, i luv the manga, and 2, to even out those bakas who read only a bit of it then gave it a crappy rating without trying the entire series out -.-

Lucy: When you're miserable, you need to make someone even more miserable than yourself.
Lucy: The ones who aren't human... the ones who aren't people... Are you!
Bandoh: I pull the trigger, the gun goes off. The beach gets bloody and you get dead.
Kurama: Warmth and love. I'm the one who took everything from you...
Nana: Give me back my leg..

These are just the most interesting quotes from the anime...
If you want more watch it, and also read the manga.
It's worth it. It may not be the bloodiest anime ever, but it still rules, personally I've read the manga twice, and watch the anime 3times and I still can't get enough of it. It probably is Okamoto Lynn's best work.

Isn't as great as expected, it never really digged into me... i find myself constantly wondering off while reading; however, the art is great and some part is interesting

Rate the manga, not your love of the anime.

Gore and nudity is rampant, so a mature audience is highly recommended.

Honestly, the art isn’t very good, but it is cute. Even though I said gore and nudity is rampant, the depictions of these things are poor. The action sequences are not detailed or convincing, and the nudity and adult situations are awkward. Some feel the cutesy artistic style renders the mature subjects ridiculous, while others find the juxtaposition unique and potent.

The story starts out very interesting but deteriorates pretty quickly. The "dicloniuses" concept sets up a mystery and central aspect to the story but is simply left as a backdrop later on. The fast paced beginnings lead to an attempt at studying emotions under extreme duress, so if you’ve developed a connection to the character by volume 3, you’re most likely still reading the manga. If you don’t have the connection, you’re probably sick and tired of all the blush faces and word/action less panels.

I’m personally annoyed by the characters at this point (Vol. 6). The author never set up enough depth for me to care about the characters for yet another round of character twists resulting in emotional trauma and self discovery. I have no idea where the story is heading anymore, and I’m worried it will drown in a puddle of its own self pity and lost plot line. It may be time to abandon ship.

I got to admit that the art is a bit out of proportion, which sucks at times, but not enough for you to say that "it's tewible!" because its style is the same as any other typical manga (you know... big expressive eyes and stuff). Plus, the art does improve in later chapters.

As anybody else had said, this contains ecchi-ness and gore (which is, surprisingly, a good combination), some comedy, and one helluva plot.

I suggest reading some chapters of the manga first before watching the anime, as some details in the manga are helpful in understanding the anime more.

Read, and never will you regret it.

So many years after the anime, I found again this manga in a dark & forgotten corner of my computer.
I was afraid to read it, because that could have kill my wonderful memories about the anime. But I'm lucky I readed it smile

Wow. This series made me want to cry and if you know me that is almost impossible. I've been told I'm scary but this made me teary eye. I wonder who the two girls are, maybe she implanted her psyche into two girls. What ever happened to the perfect demon boy? This all besides the point. If you finish this you are lucky and read a great manga.

Best manga I'VE Ever Read

This is the craziest manga I've ever read (trust me, I read fooli cooli) There's blood, violence, and a whole lot of awesome.

The plot is just the half of it. These characters are amazing. Especially Nyu. Now, that's just adorable. And her alternate self, Lucy...well let's just say my sister Mary is going to have a child and she's naming her own baby Lucy after this character (I'm not kidding)

I might not have liked Yukka all that much but she's okay. And Nana is amazing.

But the ones I liked most in the story was Mayu and...that other guy. You know, the one from the beach. I honestly can't remember his name right now. Total blank. But you know who I'm talking about, If you read the manga.

Character development was amazing too. This story left no stone unturned. Everything had a meaning, and nothing was unsaid in the end

This is still the best thing, manga wise, that I've ever read. Yeah, think about that.

i really really love the childish undeveloped art because it makes it very easy to just breeze through the manga. im able to take in the plot, know the characters and enjoying the story without having the blood and gore distract me.
everyone is over the top, cry too much and just plain crazy, but i have a wonderful time. anyone who dont really like gore but love intense actions should read this.
