It was pretty deep. I would give this one a 8.5 at the very least. I actually found the asphalt road suffocating rather than cold, always having to be told and listen to my father as he tells me what to become and what no to become, always endless talking, and IT is suffocating. dam this manga it really really digs way too deep.

first of all the art is really pretty. so pretty. like it was a person that you saw in passing in the train and you dont know why but you just cant take your eyes off of him/her even though there is nothing particularly catchy in their appearance. i dont know why. the art is simple but really pretty.

storywise, it was really refreshing. i thought it was going to be one of those feel good stories at first when the colors started coming but i was wrong. it would make you feel like you are with the characters as well, the magician would want to make you believe too. but circumstances are put inside the story that would make you question everything and it was made in a sense that everything is designed to make you feel for yourself and the characters. i love them all btw.

This is such a beautiful webtoon with so much meaning behind it. This story makes me cry every time I read it (3rd time now)

It really struck home for me because I live just like the boy in the story: trapped on an asphalt road that speeds to no where... I want to enjoy life more after reading this story! Life isn't just about following social conventions!

I thought it would be scary but it turned out to be so extraordinary, so different, well webtoons Korean manhwa usually have a different feel smile
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
I knew that Il Deung and his parents having a loooong neck symbolises them having much pride and arrogance, and when Il Deung lost it, he became that really handsome dude everyone was saying, at first I thought it was some inside joke about him being handsome when he looks like a sausage ==, hah, well I'm glad to see he turned back to normal(?) after that :) Oh! And so happy to see Ah-Ee and Il Deung performing magic, never giving up their dreams after the magician left, uwah that's awesome

All the way I enjoyed reading this, and how the manhwa was drawn out so differently, the mangaka really left a touch of his magic in it, beautiful~...to me it mainly was the magician's life, kept me thinking is he a real magician or not, but thinking back he truly is REAL by influencing and saving the two kids' lives, live how they should want to live...well social standards really pressure us kids, don't they? Can't wait to see a short sequel of this, the magic hasn't end yet XD
Add-ons: I think this is my first time being intrigued by a manga/manhwa that does not have romance as the major theme. And how the female lead can still keep her cool while facing difficulties all the time really amazes me, guess she knows that there's no use whining or getting angry about her circumstances, it will not change anything, most important thing is to take action!

I sure got a kick out of Na Il-deung's head. Especially when the girls were saying he was so handsome.

But it's a really good story, with something as short as this, it's either rushed or has a beautiful ending, I have to say it's the latter. And the art is great too, not just "the art is pretty" kind of way but the ingenuity and composition of his artwork is great too. Overall it's a great read and I'm sure I'll read it again sometime. Definitely worth a reread.

(I got to admit I almost fell out of my chair when I realized he also wrote God of Bath)

It's bittersweet and wonderfully poetic. The story is also accompanied by beautiful visual symbolism: the scene where she is literally running on money; the house of the "big headed" family which is unnecessarily gaudy with massive diamond and all, yet simultaneously fragile (literally "2 dimensional" and flat) compared to the surrounding houses. I agree with another reviewer here saying the plot is essentially the modern day Peter Pan. It does have quite a bit of angst associated with it, a dark, despairing mood and is a tad melodramatic (only for my tastes though), but you're really missing out if you don't read his masterpiece at least once. It's surprisingly complex.

This manhwa is truly a masterpiece! an adult dont want to become an adult. The real world sure is rough, I'm too scare to step out of my dream land.
Even though he's not real magician, even though other people think he's psycho, to me, bringing dream to the girl, helping the boy release the storm inside him, making that boy not go to the same path as him, to me, he is the REAL magician!
.
We learn as hell to get into a uni, run everywhere to get a job, struggle everyday to live, get married when you reach a certain age, socialize with the society, to be obsessed by everyone's expectation ... Where in the world that you are yourself?
The moment when the boy's neck become normal, the time he break the spell that his parents cast on him, he bravely fighting for the freedom that R makes him realize, I'm about to cry. I don't have courage as him, I abandoned my dream to follow the path that my parents made up for me. But now I'm starting again, though nobody is on my side but i'm not give up. This manhwa has the same feeling of me!

.
Annarasumanara has a deep significance to me.
The art is beautiful! It'd be perfect if author mentioned more about R after that.

Before you know it this korean webtoon will have wormed its way magically into your heart. It has a lot of charm, and I'm not even talking about the amazing characters yet. The paneling is creative but meaningful! It is structured in a way that enhances the storytelling. The message that the manga is trying to convey is simple yet at the same time powerful. To be a functioning adult in society do you need to cast away all your childishness? In other words, is it still okay to have fun? To be silly? Even if that's not what society expects from you. Heartwarming and mysterious.

Its a little sad. A little belief. A little crazy. A little hope, and a lot of magic. This has an sad feeling to it. The ending could have been better but other than the feeling of incompleteness it was sad. I cried.
