Ougi-sensei has a very recognizable style: It is bright, clean and dramatic. Her artwork seems to sparkle sharply from the page.
The story of this manga was articulated with great punch. Not one 'useless' or 'why-the-heck-is-that-included' scene was presented: It was just bang-bang-bang on.
The angsty tension between Asuka and Yui is what makes this story so effective. The history they have together is made all that more powerful because of the way their memories are interspersed throughout the story.
Off to read the sequel.
PS: If you adore Yuzuha Ougi''s crisp art style, check out Masara Minase. You won't be disappointed.

Ok, so not only do the votes speak for it but Brother has wonderful art (wouldn't expect less from her) and it has some good emotion, but where yaoi is concerned this is at the top of my list!

I had to hunt down my English version of this manga, as it had already sold out by the time I was curious about it. Brother is the story of two step brothers who have a multitude of problems related to the fact that they think so much of each other.
At first, I thought this wouldn't be my cup of tea, but a review I saw made me determined to find it and decide for myself, and I'm glad I did. The story is different and emotional. It has a couple hot-button issues for me, but they were mild and pretty easily overcome by the outstanding story and art.
A note on the art: This is a mangaka who has studied anatomy! Nothing is held back here, and I found that refreshing as well. I'm looking forward to part 2!
