Wow, this is one amazing read. Being a long-time lover of BL when I first read the description, I was expecting the same old stuff (it was only by the grace of seeing Kyuugou's name as the mangaka that kept me going), but this is quite dark and deep. The art is beautiful - it's simple, but that simplicity makes it pretty amazing. The story itself is not particularly new, but the way Kyuugou handles this blows other such storylines out of the water. The characters are my favorite part of this story. Yuki and co. are so human that it's heartbreaking to see what they go through, and you definitely connect with what each character feels. This manga stayed with me so long after, that every single BL (actually manga in general) paled in comparison. I love Kyuugou and all of her (his?) works, and this one, I personally think, is her best. The only con - releases aren't too fast (*sigh).

EDIT: Had to add this after I saw the above two reviews (had a mini celebration in my head after realizing that I wasn't the only one who completely hated rape in bl) - read all of Kyuugou's other works if you want to see rape treated as rape. Most of her other stuff is dark, but they're great reads that delve into the darker side of the human psyche.

Even though I normally wait longer to make a comment until more chapters are out, I love this manga and think it shows potential. Kyuugou is an amazing artist it's a shame he releases so irregularly, i though there would never be a Vol.2.

This manga is great! I love love love the art and I love the relationships between each of the characters. They're complicated. Plus I love the background to Yuki. I actually don't know who Yuki will end up with (if anyone at all) which is nice because its sooo not predictable. I wish there were more chapters!

Kyuugou has created some of my favorite Manga and definitely ranks in my top 3 of favorite Mangaka. When I first saw Acid Town I knew I was in love. The characters in it are beautiful and broken in such a delightfully interesting way. I have absolutely no complaints other than the slow updates.

I liked sensei's work, so I gave this one a shot, as so far so good. I can't say the plot is really original, but it still seems like it'll be a good read.

Update: I've seen the raws for later chapters, and it looks like it'll be real good. Lot's of drama.

@ nana - the status is 1 volume (ongoing) so I imagine it'll have at least 2 volumes.

hey, Acid town isn't finish, is it? The story looks cool and I'd like to see how it ends... oh, but Kyuugou normally makes one-shots... ò.ó maybe is like "let's annoy readers leaving the story unfinished" or maybe like some authors that take so much time to finish their stories...
