this manga is really dark and brutal but still really good kind of like Freezing
Spoiler (highlight to view)
but the only flaw is the main guy character cause he uses the word "useless" to the max, hes such a weak pussy and never yet has fought and won his own battle always only being protected,plus he is of course that weak goody good character that says "we cant kill any one even though they are trying to kill us" but in actuality he needs to grow some damn balls cause the only reason he can even state that is cause he never got his hands dirty so far cause his sis was protecting them both, and without her he would have died by every obstacle hes faced so far. and yea i know this author loves having a girls do most of the battling, but at least don't make the guy a useless baby

Re:Birth is unmistakably a Lim Dall Young story, but I was happy to find that it defies (for the better) several of the major cliches I associate with Aflame Inferno, Black God, Freezing, and Onihime VS.

The female lead, Ayaka, is human, and the "contracts" in this story are just between people and non-sentient (despite the initial "voice" that proposes the contract) weapons. Ayaka is caring, resilient, calculative and freaking hardcore in fights, but also shy and cutely jealous at times. She has a mysterious past, but at the time of chapter 1 she was just an ordinary girl with a subtle yet massive brother complex. My only complaint is that I want to understand why her brother is worth all that to her...

The actual plot centers around a "game" with points and power-ups. If you've read Gantz, it has a very similar atmosphere and story elements, except that players have the option to kill other players rather than try for the Gantz-style weird but very lethal monsters. It was very dark (not Gantz-level, of course) for the first major arc, but a couple of volumes in, the tone has lightened and I bet the harem will be increasing soon.

So far, Re:Birth could described as Gantz, with plenty of ability fights between players, an awesome female lead with a mysterious past, and the slow-building harem plus ecchi comedy that you can expect from Lim Dall Young's works.

A more bloody and dark series by Im Dal Young

Probably one of Im Dal Young's darker more humorless series, this one definitely sticks out. Readers who may be a little tired of Im Dal Young's previous series might want to give this title a shot, the darker themes mixed with slightly more gory situations than the shounen-esque Freezing and Aflame Inferno could find this one to be a little more unique, especially if you like heavy emphasis on drama.

From the 2 chapters so far looks like it will be a typical shounen manga where the protagonist got a power after forming a contract, in this case it's an accident though smile. But, a little gore + Amazing art is what makes it awesome. Not to mention how lovely ayaka is, bro-con!!! and I bet she's a yandere biggrinD

Art = 10/10
Well, im a big fan of Lee Soo Hyun so definitely its a perfect score to me. But im a little disappointed coz im expecting the art to be similiar as he did on Unbalance x2, though his touch is still great on this series.

Story = 8.5/10
Well, there's nothing fresh from this one. Its about a man accidentaly killed, forming a contract with an artifact and getting a special ability. The rest is similiar with Fate Stay Night or Kampfer, where they must fight/kill with other users. But theres still much space for the story to develop, seeing the author is quite famous and known for his works, Im sure it'll be great to follow this one.

Note : gore, yandere, bro-con -> things that will makes me following this series to the end, heheh biggrin

the 1st chapter is kinda
mysterious.

the protagonist form a contract
and the bad thing, he's life
is short and he needs to either
target people like him the taker
or the others called angels not literally who targets taker.

well I think targeting the angels is better
than to kill a human like you who is a taker.

it is kinda pitiful cause their situation
is a life and death situation like killed
or be killed just because of those
crazy ornaments of contracts.
