Description
From DMP:
At Wataru Fujii's high school, it's all the rage to wear paired rings with the girl you love. Wataru wears one though he is single, and one day inadvertently discovers that his ring pairs up with that of tall, handsome and smart Yuichi Kazuki, the senior classman idolized by the entire school. Though Kazuki has a reputation for being kind to all, when dealing with Wataru, he is strangely harsh. Their paired rings somehow draw them together and the two alternately clash and attract, as they must sort out their budding feelings for each other.

Simply Beautiful

I am definitely not one to leave reviews, because I tend to read very quickly a manga, and, as soon as I'm done, start another one without wasting any time. Even my lists are never up-to-date because I just can't be bothered, you know?
But this... this was sublime, in my opinion. I had great expectations for this manga, but they were... surpassed. Beautiful: the art, the plot, the characters, everything. I like yaoi, and have read lots of it, but I found this piece special: instead of focusing mostly (as the majority of boys' love manga do) on more or less graphic scenes, it tells of a beautiful, romantic story between two young boys in love, and their difficulties in sorting out their feelings.
Truly a beautiful manga, a must read for (but not limited to) all yaoi fans.

I love this series!! I fell in love with shonen-ai because of this! Kannagi-sensei's story is so heart-warming, and Odagiri-sensei's art is absolutely gorgeous! I also have the three novels and I'm avidly anticipating the 4th and 5th!! Hope they make an anime out of this soon!
Very sweet

I usually don't write reviews, but I couldn't resist for this one. Once I started reading it, I couldn't put it down. I'm not a big BL fan, but this one really caught me.
I love how it was able to portray a sweet and touching BL story without having to rely on the typical graphical BL scenes that many in this genre have come to rely on. The emotions are expressed vividly in both main characters. A very heart warming read.
The manga version is a great read too. The art is beautiful. It was really nice to see the characters come to life in the manga version.
In all, a captivatiing read that really has the ability to touch the reader.

It took so long for me to figure out that there was only one volume manga and the rest were novels, honestly can i get any worse. This was such a lovely story and yes i did read two of the other novels perhaps will try and read the rest...although i really hate the english translations of it so it will be when am really bored. Who knows maybe in the future there will be a sequel lets keep our fingers crossed since this sensei has so many great stories to read.

I was looking for this manga everywhere and I could dinally get it today (only volume one though)...I hope I can get to read the 2 remaining volumes, but so far I simply loved the story. As others said, the addition of shonen-ai makes it really cute, and I really like the plot (I get really pissed when I read a yaoi manga and the plot is like...non existent....I mean, I do like BL, but I also want an actual story).
This one's definitely one of my favorites.

Just to clarify for anyone (because I know it took me awhile to figure it out), there are three volumes for this novel: The Lonely Ring Finger, The Left Hand Dreams of Him and The Ring Finger Falls Silent. Next, there is a 1 volume manga.
This review and rating is for the first volume of the novel, which I believe is what this mangaupdates.com listing is.
I found the story engaging. I couldn't stop reading it. The characters are interesting, believeable and likeable. There are only two issues: quite often the dialog was confusing for identifying who was saying which comment and, secondly, the author keeps her BL scenes extremely light. The build up (read: kissing scenes and angsty scenes) to potentially awesomely intense scenes is fabulous but ultimately disappointing.
My favourite scenes are the ones where Yuichi is overcome with emotion! But, if you follow my posts, you know that. I definitely have a preference! Hohoho.
Although not a 'oh-my-god-i'm-swooning' BL novel, it was worth spending a lazy tea-drinkin, apple-pie eatin' cuddly rainy afternoon on.
I will look for volume 2 and 3 of this novel.

Simply beautiful: the art, the romance, the plot, everything. The characters were adorable and the story is AMAZING. All hopeless romantics will surely fall in love with Only the Ring Finger Knows. The addition of shounen-ai also adds a little cuteness to the book.

This is the first yaoi novel I have read and I loved it. The develoment of the relationship between the two boys was bittersweet. I've re-read this one several times. This is the first of 3 novels. It's the best and can be read as a stand alone.
