I think, as most people already mentioned, the ending is rushed due to the cancellation. But i think, it's commendable how he managed to make a decent end out of it.
Was rather interesting, would have loved to see how it would develop. There's much wasted potential but at least the end was done in a nice wrap up manner where answers to the questions posed were given.

How on earth could manga have been canceled? I completely loved it. It's only fault is it's abrupt ending. I pray the mangaka will continue this. I still gave it a rating of 10 just to support it. The production company made a huge mistake in canceling this. It was sweet and funny and unique. The mangaka still did a pretty good job to end it given the little notice she/ he had.

intresting idea, lovely & cute art, style of storytelling is slightly plain at times but mostly good.
I really like the art!! .
The characters are all very cute. Elraine is very cute at times, annoying at other times...
but i really like kiri the most he is so adorable.
too bad it is canceled =_+;
I am grading it objectively: the weaknesses of the manga is the rushed ending, varying standard of storytelling and annoying elraine bits. (-2)

This is one of the best mangas ive ever read. I really liked the description of this mangas but i put it off cause i saw that it was canceled. I finally decided to read it and now i truly understand why they made a petition at the link in the forums to keep it and why it is such a high ranking manga. This manga is amazing. The characters are really written and loveable, the art is nice, the story is top notch, and it makes you smile. This could be a really good read for both shounen and shojo fans. It might not be as flowery as some shojo that are based on romance, but it isnt all about action either. This is definitely a 10/10.
Dont put this off because its canceled. You will regret it.

I think this manga is promising to be a really good one. A normal shounen about good vs bad but the fact that the main characters must hold hands make it quite unique. Arts and comedy is also good.
It was canceled. The reason that it is released in Shounen Jump but it is about a boy and a girl instead of focusing to a cool male character, is totaly dumb, stupid... damm it...

Seriously, how could they!? This is a EXTREMELY good manga and I enjoyed every second of it! [I guess it appeals more to American artists...] The art designs were pretty unique and the plot was made nicely... WHY!? [Well.. Answering my own question and many other's, this was published in one of Shonen Jump's magazines... They thought it was starting to get closer to romance so readers got worried and wanted the series to change and/or end. If Double Arts was published in a Shojo magazine, it would have done better.] So overall, I think Double Arts should be translated.
A great manga that deserves better

Ever since the first chapter, Double Arts was one of the few mangas that was not only original, but it had a complex plot that had so many questions with very few answers.
The characters stand out with amazement and lots of development were seen at such a good pace, but most of all, the storyline was the main reason why I started to read this manga in the first place.
Sadly, it seems that most WSJ readers (in Japan), didn't find this intriquing like some did, and seemingly had the series canceled on purpose, not giving it or the author a chance to flesh it out more.
Despite this, however, I see a good future for Naoshi Komi. If memory serves correctly, Tite Kubo has his first manga series, Zombie Powder, with not so satisfactory results, but did well the second time with Bleach. I'm confident that Naoshi Komi would do exactly the same thing with his next project.

OMGGG not againnn!!! I started reading double arts yesterday from chp1-11 and i stopped because i thought to myself "this is a good manga and very original too...i should hold onto it until 20-30 chapters so that i can enjoy reading the rest of the chapters" but HELL NO it was short lived!!! when i just found out today that double arts was cancelled i felt that my balls were completely crushed by the hand of the japanese people. The same thing happened to Mx0 too.
Please (T.T).....to anyone who is very close to the japanese manga community out there i really wish that this manga is to be continue further!! i hope the petition linked by zachd06 will help WSJ to realise that people outside of japan loves Double Arts. I feel sorry for the author..its a shame that his/her original artwork is being cancelled due to low ratings...oh man japanese people really are perverted thats why mangas like to-love-ru still exists because its so much fan service....nowadays mangas with lotsa fan-service and very obvious cliched storyline are bound to survive till the end.I really dont get it.
*edited*
Oh and btw about the petition thingy how will it reach the japanese people?? Will they ever try to understand english or even read it?? From my past experience living in japan...there are the type of people who "lived in their own world" with exceptions to the gaming and sports industry that is...but things like this i doubt they will even bother unless you breathe the same air as them or unless you are a super-duper celebrity from hollywood or a football star...anyway sorry for being political heh =)

This was my favorite new series! It had an enjoyable story, lovable characters, and great humor. It never should been cancelled. I even signed a petition
here even though I usually don't do that sort of stuff since it never works anyway. It does give me a nice feeling when I see all of the signatures anyway.
