The mangaka goes full retard.

The actual ending itself isn't so bad, but the chapters leading up to it feels terribly rushed and nonsensical. This manga has been a roller coaster ride in itself. From mediocre to good to suddenly bad.

Why do the endings always suck!? The action sequences and characters in this manga are awesome, but the ending seems a bit rushed or maybe I just rushed through it. It just seems to me that the destination can not compare to the journey: The journey, trials, tribulations and triumphs the characters go through are Legen...

This manga started out well and gradualy became better and better. The high point of this manga was the Negi vs Rakan fight in the arena, the story just became better and better up to that point. After their fight the manga gradualy declines in quality. There is a huge buildup before a few chapters ends the entire fight and story.

I hate to see a good manga become so ruined towards the end, I really enjoyed my time reading it but the last chapters I only read because I felt obligated to read after following it for such a long time.
At the end of the manga it is just way to cheesy and it goes back to Negi sneezing all the time.

Thank you very much for this enyoable 9 years. Thank you Ken akamtsu, this was a nice manga and i enyoed it every week. Every week i was looking forward to read the manga. And it is the first manga that i have followed for so long time. But after love hina i knew that evertying this mangaka comes with will be a good manga. Altough i am a bit dissapointed with the ending, i realy realy enyoed reading and THANK YO KEN AKAMTSU. looking forward to a new nice story.

It's been 9 years since this manga started, and 9 years since I started reading this. What started off as an interesting little bit, similar to Love Hina except with magic and a younger protagonist, quickly became one of my favorite manga to read every week. Akamatsu created one of the most entertaining shounen manga, encorporating both the perversion and romantic comedy that made Love Hina popular with an action twist that kept me reading. 9 years later, now that it's finished, I'm happy I've read and completed this manga, and I thank Akamatsu sensei for creating this excellent work.

Negima! doesn't look anything special from the perspective you are looking at, but it holds up to itself the same way One Piece does.
It may not look like one of the greatest Manga there is. But believe me when I say that once you read it, you get hooked and you won't stop.
Side note: I went from 0 to up-to-date in about 4 days. That hooked I was!

This started out BRILLIANTLY and continued wonderfully up until the Negi vs Rakan fight (chapter 233). Then it slowly declines in story telling quality and suspense until this becomes my MOST HATED manga ever. If you are planning on reading it, stop after chapter 233, and the only important information that you would need to know after that is

THIS IS SO GOOD. It started off really shallow but the characters are explored deeper and the plot develops into something more. The art is just...WOW, and the action parts are so entertaining!! >u< This series kept me on my seat for the whole day, really wrapped me up the the magical world of Mahora.

The only problem I have with this is how the romance can't really be taken seriously. But if you're looking for some intense and interesting magic battle, mixed with a wide array of interesting (and hot >u>) characters and situations, this manga's for you. (^u^)b

The producers of the manga magazine had always wanted akamatsu-sensei to create another "love hina" ripoff, seeing how it got so widely accepted, but akamatsu-sensei had always wanted to draw a shonen action manga. So being like the ninja he is, he disguised Negima to be another school life harem themed manga yet hid heap loads of action potential in it. The result?

Don't be discouraged just by reading the first few chps and volumes thinking: gahh! all these characters are annoying, because you'll definitely miss out the character developments in it.
Akamatsu-sensei's unique art style and his perfect amount of humor dosage would serve Negima to become one of the most memorable manga you'll ever read.

The art is good, story is good but the girls are irritating. All the girls are pedophile wanting love from a 10 year old. Now come on .... 10 year old!!!. Plus too much fan service.....Before 150th chapter almost 75 chapters are unnecessary fan service. Now who would like to see boobs and panties of a 14 yr old. Give me some life. Overall I will rate it 7/10. If there was no fan service and irritating girls then it would have been 10+.


NOTE: The magic land arc is 10/10. No damn fan service
