The summary is off! Altho' Its pretty much starts out with Kangryong we se less and less of him as the story goes. At ch 46 we havent seen him for a few chappies and even earlier rarely at all, also he make little to no progress at all. This is no longer story about Kangryong but rather a school filled with freaks. Still pretty good with plenty of action.

I'd like to comment on the character's principles clashing against the other. On the perspective of their personal truths, the story creates no evil or good characters, but personalities doing in every way they can to fight for their own veritas. Even the main character is one you'd rarely see in typical action/martial arts characters.

I dont know if anyone feels this way but the manga kind of completely changed from the way it started. it began like any shonen series weak guy trying to become stronger but then all this complex crap about reunionist and traditionalists just showed up and spoiled it for me. Dont take me wrong the manga is pretty good and a worthy read but i thought there should have been less politics and more of a focus on the main characters school life.

I was following this, and really enjoyed it.. but I realized something several chapters back: I simply don't care anymore. This story has managed to completely lose my interest.
It did this in several ways: The characters are all annoying, they are all planning stupidly contrived revenge/take-over plans behind each others backs, except the main character who is just a fighting idiot, they get away with things that make no sense (killing, raping, sending people to a coma) outside of the "planned fights". And.. really the characters are just annoying.
The story has gotten lost somewhere. As one person stated, "It is about a school full of freaks" and not about the original main guy. I almost felt like I was reading Air Gear for a bit, with suddenly the story changing completely. The fights are just stupid things now, they actually make Naruto fights look planned and thrilling. These also lost my interest, you can only see "sudden new power" or "I knew you would do that, so I am going to bust out THIS invincible ability..." Oh yeah, well here is my invincible ability that beats yours, because your ability is nothing but.. A SIDE STEP!!! Dun dun DUUNNN!!!!!
So yeah, the story lost me and quite frankly lost all of its charm. So contrived and stupid that it lost its own path and almost seems like every chapter has no bearing on the previous chapters, or chapters following. So many loops, flashbacks out of nowhere, plots per character, and other twists that... yeah. Just avoid this for the most part, it will only give you a headache that no amount of angry, jacked up, muscle bound art can get you through.

Feels too much like I'm reading "Change Guy" again starting from the point in that story where the action shifted to the prison. Veritas has better eye candy with female characters like Madoka an Vera, but they aren't particularly likeable. So far the only character in the story I do like is Honse. The main character Gangryong has such a cocky poor attitude almost all the time that I find myself cheering for his opponents to win when he fights them.

i've read at least 50 series of manga and am still reading hundreds but for some reason i jus cant get enough of veritas so much tht i would say it was my second favorite manga series.(of course GTO is better)


seems like im the only person who actually LIKES Kangryong. He's jokes!
ad the only people i like in that school is Honse, Madoka and the guy that kangryong learnt half step off of sorry i don't member the name

Well, i passed this series many time with out reading it just because of the description, but then i started to read chapter 34 35 then 41 42. It's really a good fighting Manhwa, i'm reading chapter 1 right now and it seems to be unexpectedly good.
Of course the art is fan-service with almost every characters look like super models but i 'm fine with it. They are abnormal people anyway.And the plot, as in chapter 1 is interesting enough for an over used theme in manga/manhwa like super power fighting in highschool . I just like how the main character said "i want to be ridiculously strong like you..." that is the spirit, boys !

megaman2290, i will have to agree with you. i did the same fucking thing to find out that it has the most stupid ending. I cant believe thats the ending of such a great manga, hopefully their might be a sequel to it.

But again, its not really the author fault since they had to force an ending. it seem from what i heard , the manga was not really selling well for some reason and were force to cancel it. so i guess i cant blame them but the people that didnt bye it (and yes bought and have up to 9 and just realise it didnt have a good ending).
i will give this manga a 7 just because of the ending, but the story and art is good.

a good martial arts manga. quite an ordinary premise to start with (young guy wants to be strongest, finds a master who trains him) but the becomes different enough not to be too samey.
the different fighting styles and large character base is pretty entertaining. somewhat reminscent to bleach in a way. and the plot is unfolding nicely.
also - THE ART IS SIMPLY AAAAMAZING. i cant find any other works by KIM Dong-hoon, but i really want to see them if any exists.
the girls are drawn absolutley fantastically, which i like
if you like fighting manga, check it out. this is the peak of korean manhwa

This serie picked my interest since for once, main character isnt some wimpy tearjerker, but actually kinda badass who collects his shots from the road and not due some ridiculous training camp in hell knows where. Ok i kinda tolerated all that more and more common political school crap since art was good and females just one hellowa bombs of eyecandy. buuut the end is just CRAP... either manhwaka was forced to quit this serie (most likely) and had to do one of those extremely haphazard endings, or he just ran out of bullets for what to shoot on the pages. Eitherway its just Good start BAD end for a serie.
