Emotionally Exhausting....

This is the first time Ive read a manga where every chapter the couple is fighting.
They shoot their mouths off with hateful words without talking it out first..
This couple lack COMMUNICATION....
The manga has sweet and endearing scenes but most of the time they are bickering...
Also as much as I like the Hokuto's hot body, why do I find the Chiwa's face displeasing whenever they have sex... She always looks in pain and I don't find it erotic like really..

I only like the first few chapters but became a chore to read in the middle...
But the ending was not so bad...

It's a Shoujo wrapped in a Josei costume.
The drama and the flow of events is Shoujo. The setting is Josei. The characters are a mix.

Your average office lady is persuaded into the marriage, for the benefits of both, to an ambitious business man who has an aloof character and poor interpersonal skills.
The story evolves around their growing relationship and the life goal of him.
The manga has a proper end. Probably not satisfying for everybody completely but also nothing surprising.

I totally adored the drawing style (9/10). Very pleasantly to look at with the typical comic effects for emotions. It was my greatest entertainment about this manga and kept me wanting to see more and more.
Also when only slowly it was nice to watch how Hokuto, the husband, developed. Chiwa the wife turned more and more into a cry baby. I can't stand that but she was often just so sweet that I overlooked it. Except for that emotional increase she was the same at the end as at the beginning - while he changed quite a lot but has still a long way to go.

The drama is nothing too dramatic and some events seem too convenient and cliche.
The comedy is not exaggerated and the smut is rare.

Not good enough for Josei

If you are a fan of a simple light romance story with some smutty scenes it's worth to try. You can enjoy it to a certain level. But if you expect more you won't get it.
The strenght, the flow of the story and its characters building are in shoujo manga level. Early chapters were okay until it failed to develop in later chapters. Mostly because of the main char's inconstant behaviors. The setting is in work environment and she is an office lady, that's all ...that can be categorized as Josei.

It turned out to actually be pretty good.

I mean everyone said that
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
Hokuto slapped Chiwa a few times, but he pretty much apologized immediantly.
I'm not trying to justify his actions or anything, but I think the author wanted Hokuto to be aghast at what he had just done.

The latest chapter (chapter 28) all the main character does is cry, waaa Hokuto is cheating on me Hokuto is cheating on me that's all that happens. HE IS NOT CHEATING.
I use to really like this manga but the sex isn't really tasteful it's more like let's do it because we need to put fan service into every single chapter and the storyline seems to be going no where as of yet. What is with Chiwa's crying anyway? It's so so so annoying and she always seems to make Hokuto mad. Then he turns into some violent person who practically storms out making you think they're over so so many times.
This manga is ok until you get to the most recent chapters where the main character Chiwa becomes a typical shojo "heroine" and Hokuto violent and sort of masochistic.
Don't read if violent guys and crybaby main leads are not your thing.

Excellent character development. It keeps me wanting to read more. Not forgetting to mention that it's also an outstanding josei/shoujo manga of the strong-heroine-vs.-possessive/emo-princely-boyfriend genre, lol (^^)b

edit: After reading further, I think it tends to repeat similar incidents, and the routine is already starting to get old. So I would say, it's exciting until around volume 6~7, but I think the series should just go straight back to the main plot now rather than keep repeating the cheesy love-love parts.

Seriously, he's so patient with his wifey even though he once a playboy but that's also the reason why he can handle woman so perfectly right?
The pair of this two is great too.Seriously, I can think how my future can be bigrazz

Despite all that, the event is soo sweet and it end up with sweet ending actually between two newlywed. Chiwa preety interesting actually, with her super naive about man - but not stupid, idiotic character.

I love this series more than I should tbh.

This is a fun non-serious read. Tropes and cliche's galore, but somehow they work for the manga and not against it (ymmv.) It is a very classic story poor/naive girl gets married to a rich jerk.

I disagree with it not being categorized as Josei though. It might not have the seriousness of many Josei but it is aimed a grown women. I see it like chick lit. If you want a deep meaningful & super mature story this isn't it.

Could have been better

So the manga is not too bad, the romance is really heartwarming and the drawings are very good, but at some point it got boring and was difficult to keep on reading. Also, I don't know if it's because my culture is different or what (i'm from Spain) but the values of a wife transmitted by this series bothered me way too much, so that's one more reason why I couldn't enjoy it to the fullest.
Anyway, if it had been shorter it would have been waaaay better, as it wouldn't have gotten boring. But overall it wasn't that bad I guess.
