Description
Fujishima Takara goes to high school and will start living in a dorm because he has lost all his family except for his father, who's always away for his work. Takara has to share a room with Hosaka Kiyomine. Living together isn't easy, and many rows ensue. Kiyomine is very introverted, while Takara is just the opposite. At first the two get on each other's nerves because of those differences. But things turn towards friendship and later on towards love.

Honestly, I had a lot of fun reading, like I was smiling, laughing, giggling and squealing like an idiot! Didnt sleep just to finish it! Loved the entire thing including the ending! Sure this manga was closer to friendship than love but the fluffiness can't get any better so this deserves a handful of credits! If you're expecting graphic and REAL depth, you won't get it here. But if you're looking for some good fluff then OMFG WHAT ARE YOU DOING READING OUR COMMENTS??!!!!

I suggest you read "Demian Syndrome" in the meanwhile. It is similar in exciting ways, yet different in exciting ways. http://manga.animea.net/demian-syndrome.html I think both are insanely good. wink Both have potential future updates too!

Although this manga was on standby for a while am glad is back on again and with two more groups which hopefully means faster chapters?! Well this one most be the longest shounen ai manga i have read so far and oh boy not even the raws are enough. The story is good but sometimes i just wish there was a bit more intimacy, more than a kiss between the two and more frequently but up until the end it was quite slow.....that little uke does not give in easily, at least not admitting exactly what his feelings really are but at least the epilogue chapter was quite nice.

This is a very cute, sweet manga. It doesn't have any sex and the closest to kissing is on the cheek, so if you're looking for something pg, this is a very good one.

What happens when high school teenage bishounen are stuck with each other...

Bromance!! The characters are a mix of immature and thoughtful, which is pretty realistic. They are all 15 - 18 years old after all.

THEME: 9/10 Forgiveness is key. Hate only leads to more hate. You must take the first step to reach out and you must be brave enough to bare your vulnerabilities to others in order to turn someone from an enemy into a friend. I love how the story shows the importance of compromise. Remembering your friends' flaws and learning to forgive and cry for him/her is crucial to a lasting bond, because, in the end, no one is perfect. Both sides have to apologize, forgive, and learn to love.

ART starts out pretty horrible, but by chapter 10 I stopped noticing. And the artist's drawing skills got better in later chapters, yay!

ROMANCE (7/10) is slow and steady, and we see the characters slowly growing to be each others' friends, then a hint of something more. Although no one specifically states "i love you" followed by blushing and intense kisses, it is deeply implied. The characters become so attached to each other it is clearly love. I found the amount of casual touching/hugging/etc to be freaking adorable.

THE ENDING is open ended and light-hearted. I personally can easily imagine my favorite ships happening, with yaoi down the road. Teehee. wink

CHARACTERS: 10/10. I love the variety of personalities, and the main character is ABSOLUTELY LOVABLE. He is the embodiment of a manly, huggable chibi bishounen who likes to tackle friends (both male and female) with hugs!!! So cute~~! The 4 - 5 primary female characters are lovable too, but a lot of female side characters are immature, apathetic, violent, narrow minded, and b**chy. That's the only downside.

STORY (5/10) is melodramatic, but I can see many elements of it occurring in real life. There are some plot holes and unrealistic elements, but because this is a CHARACTER-DRIVEN STORY, I loved seeing the daily interactions and growth of the main characters. The school setting is well integrated, even though there are some overused cliches.

OVERALL I really liked this story. I quit it at chapter 3 a month ago, but today I read everything in one go. Weird, right?

Conflicted

I'm usually the biggest advocate for slow romance. In all honesty, I feel like if you want to love someone, you need to love someone outside of those romantic moments. Daily lives, life with them. On one hand, you're hard pressed to find a BL these days with this much development, of the two main characters, and of the people around them. You get sucked up into it, and before you know it, 25 volumes have gone by.There are some very surprisingly strong characterizations--several characters I couldn't help but feel a passionate dislike for, others I loved immensely--idk. If there was ever a manga that was very slice of life, it is this one.

The BL is...just tonally weird? It happened, but...it's subtle. At the same time, like--when did it start? It's less of the 'you grow with them to the point you don't even realize they've fallen in with each other' subtle and more of a 'at one point, Kiyomine really decided he liked Takara'. It's a little weird for me, but I do love their friendship. I don't really like how...Takara's girlish looks gets played out alot? It's a recurring thing that keeps coming back, and it keeps getting pretty annoying. At the same time, Kiyomine's selfishness being played against Takara's lack of self-awareness--seems so typecasted and flat. At the same time, some part of it all is rubbing me off the wrong way: Is it the way Takara's the school idol? The unnecessary plots that just basically involve Takara crossdressing as a girl is just really weird.

The beginning of the manga was strong with conflicts and dealing with Takara's complex and story and how he deals with people versus Kiyomine, but for the recent chapters, it's kind of...domestic-feeling. How it's demonstrated is not really my thing, but if that's your boat, I say go for it.

Feliona said it best. This story may be overly dramatic at points (hey, all manga is otherwise it'd be boring), but for the most part it is a very real progression of an innocent relationship. Sure, there's no outright yaoi (sex), but that doesn't really matter because the story and characters are so wonderful and fascinating that you'll never find yourself bored enough to want some real yaoi to mix things up.

And honestly, sometimes it's just that tension in the air that keeps you going, even if in the end you REALLY wanted to see an actual hook up. Just use your imaginations. ^^

heeey I wanted a kiss at the end!!!

Ok ^^

It is a very sweet BL manga. Very long but worth reading it. I loved the slow development of the relationship between the two main characters. That was sweet and cute. And this is what makes this manga so special.
Like it was mentioned before it is shonen-ai so there are only hugs (and lots of hugs), small touching, kisses on the cheek and two kisses on the mouth. Well I don't mind that at all because the manga is focused mainly on emotions so that's good ^^ but I just wanted a small tiny kiss at the end!

Anyway, this is a really nice BL manga. A beautiful love story. I am really happy that these two main characters found each other. They are building slowly a strong relationship. It is so obvious that these two are gonna stay for a looong time together. That's so sweet ^^
