If I were to compare this to a beverage I would say this is like a warm, sweet cup of coffee. Tasty and satisfying, making you want more. Especially with the recent development(Ch. 8).

I felt the story was okay. Not terribly strong, but better than some, and not hard to understand. The fanservice... well, I really don't pay much attention to that. The art style is nice. My one complaint: Why don't they just stick with "Maou-sama?" Why try to translate his name at all? (For those who don't know, "Maou-sama" means "demon king.")

Are there any girls out there how have read this? Because i have had a few busts with almost every seinen that had wasted my time. i need a girls opinion if this is worth reading or not.

I usually hate all harem manga (other than some Tenchi and a few others); with the whiny, bumbling protagonists that all the girls seem oddly attracted to and throw themselves at. But I actually like Shina Dark. The first thing I like most about Shina Dark is the fact that the girls are actually independent and have some degree of intelligence and not complete morons who bend over backwards for some stupid oaf who "breaks out into hives when a girl touches him!!"

I admit at first I hated it because I was a little disappointed that Satan wasn't a smooth ladies man, but eventually I started to like how he is really powerful but would just like to be left alone in peace.

theres only been 6chapters released for this manga. so far its ok but i really dont see why this should be up there with monster, vagabond, historie etc.

Every chapter until the last volume is nothing to be overjoyed about and can only be labeled as cliched. The protagonist's development, also from the heroines to the supporting characters can all be seen as a chain of repetitive plot being drawn out. The obvious and typical attributes of each casts are shown. In addition to all that has been said, as someone had already stated, the females growth will be a huge factor to be observed. Nonetheless, the series have self-proven itself to carry a great potential as it stirs away from the path of repetitious repercussion.

The story has it all, from the main character with a dark and brooding past to the stimulating fan-service and the comedy that ensues. It's sure to bring some laughter to fans of such genre. *drools*

This series is simply amazing. It introduces a positive fan-service and displaying emotional scenes that depict the life of an all powerful. The fan-service is a plus that ties together a fantastic story with scenes that make a reader want to cry.

I'm not a fan of harem series, but this one is stands apart from the rest. Think about your typical harem manga: average and weak looking guy who has the most amazing luck ever. This one has a couch potato Satan who really doesn't have much interest in having a harem.

Oh, and for those bashing its choice of the name Satan. Think about it: what other name would convey the evil reputation of the guy yet not be too offensive (for its intended audience at least). Hitler? They probably think Hitler as more taboo than Satan. So personally I think their choice of the name is ingenious.

I love this manga though i dont approve of using the name satan (believin in God and all) i still managed to enjoy the story. i found this manga really funny with a lot of good and tasteful ecchi fan-service, with great artwork and characters, a funny but lazy protagonist(Satan) with a misunderstood rep, an evil looking bustler with the first impression of mistaken identity, a love-struck maid and an island filled with beautiful bouncy OO women how can anyone go wrong. this was a lil refreshing from your classic harems where as the main char was some average dude who manages to get lucky in love but i know there are a few similar to this but that besides the point. i cant wait to see want happens in the next chapter for this manga was keepin me in the dark from the start (see i didnt read any reviews nor descriptions b4 i read it). check it out its a good read

This is a decent series. I think it is funny that Satan is some normal dude and everyone thinks he is the worst. Pretty good so far, need to give it time to see if it gets really good.
