Some points on this manga so far:

Typical Shojo:
- a girl who happens to be very special
- a guy always watching her
- guys that try to take her away
-her love interest takes her back through some sort of "cool"/heroic feat.
- cute, fuzzy feel good moments
-comedy
-characters have same look as other shojo manga charcters

"Snow White" Theme/Twist
- Poison Apple
- Similar-ish time period
- instead of blood as red as roses, its hair as red as apples ( red variety)
- prince who saves the day
-instead of animals, she takes care of plants
-ran away from home and found a new one
- forests

Plot
-really boring at first, had to plow through first couple of chapters
- piles of questions i had in the beginning were somewhat answered
- nothing spectacular, pretty predictable

Why I still read it/ high rating
- personal preference
- decent story= i only read for development between characters
- its not over, it could get better
-cute,fuzzy moments

The first few chapters may strike people as boring and cliche, but the story is far from it. Despite the cliche premises and that the heroine is not a strong fighter, she's strong in the the sense that she has the courage and strength to climb up for her goal without asking for anyone's help. Normally we would see the guy bending down and helping the girl to reach his level, but not for this girl. My favourite thing about her is the fact that she refuses to let herself be his weakness and she will work to be his strength rather than be a damsel in distress.
This may not strike people as interesting as for some to be not as exciting and passionate as some other manga, but its calmness and subtly is a welcome relief from other dramatic plot lines.

The art is fantastic!

AND I AGREE WITH Mo-chan ON THE CLICHES

Seriously, stop whining xD. Cliches are just events that occurs in stories a lot! They are popular story ideas! It's how authors use those " cliches" that makes the story good or bad!! Akizuki Sorata uses them well c:.

This story is a bit laid back. (NOT BAD WAY, KEEP READING -->)Like, it's not taking place in a war scene, or anything, and the main lead (WHO I ADORE) is a calm person, and you get that vibe in the story. C: BUT IT IS AN AMAZING PLOT.
I love it. xD I'm reading another manga I love about a red-head girl who is an outcast (Reimei no Arcana). They both have strong characters, who even though they're different, they somehow do resemble eachother (not just the red hair factor).

Anyway, why I love this manga:
*Good characters (some people do seem "shallow", but I mean, the story isn't about the side characters! Seriously!)
*GREAT ART (I love just looking at pages *u* It's really pretty<3)
*The Plot (I love the idea of a strong girl out facing the world c: Plus the romance makes it nice<33xD)
*EVERYTHING ELSE...(...you can think of. c: I really don't think there are any faults with this manga, besides the fact it's a calm vibe. But that isn't a problem at all! I like it, its very unique )

Read this manga! It's cute, adventurous,funny, and a great read! C: I'm so happy a new scan just came out 2 days ago!<3333 I'm off to read it now!! >;P

this manga is awesome! not only is it cute but there is no one that annoying in here. the lead character is cool and her relationship with the male lead is too cute to stand. i just think all people need to at least try reading this. did i mention i love this manga?

I absolutely love this manga. I agree with kitten1011. It's starts out like the original fairy tail snow white, but then spins off to something totally different.
Shirayuki (snow white) is really cool because she's not only smart and independent, but she also has some common sense. She can take care of herself. She's very kind and couragous.
Not only does this manga have a good plot and good characters, but it also has really great art, which is kind of rare. Some mangas have good plots and characters, and cruddy art or vice versa. BUt this manga has it all.
I would personally recommend this manga to anyone who is into the girl characters taking care of herself rather than having someone else take care of her.

I always loved stories with European settings, stories that are unfold in a non-city like background. The manga itself is very warm, sweet and you can't even hate any of the characters 'cause they are very well developed in their own way.

The interaction between all the characters are fun and nice but for some reason, the author seems to want to tease the readers by giving very little romance scenes between Shirayuki and Zen. It's like you know when you see them both together after so many chapters and you'll want to keep supporting them 'cause it's so touching.

Yet it's kinda irritating when you get to see them together for a little while and then they don't have much screen time together 'cause the other 3 friends will keep appearing. Plus I feel like Obi gets to stick around Shirayuki far too many times, though I understand the reason why he's with her most of the time. Even so, I'm hoping that we will get to see Zen and Shirayuki together moreeeee.

Yet another manga I loved at the beginning. I followed this basically since it was first released, but it's started lagging. I sincerely hate it when mangakas do that. This should have ended long before or the mangaka should have found new direction and pushed forward with developing characters and plot more. It really kills the series for me when they start dragging it out. I understand why they do it (popularity, etc) because it's good for business, but it's so detrimental to the story.

Dropped.

The first 7 chapters are terrible. The first chapter especially is rushed and does not give the reader a feeling of connection with he characters or between the leads. Read it anyway because after that rocky beginning it blossoms into something charming and absolutely worthwhile.

First of all, the art is fantastic. The quality and amount of details on every page is just impressive. It's definitely a work of art. I also liked all the characters. The female lead is farm from a pathetic crybaby (much love to strong female leads), the male lead a sweet and well developed (not a one dimensional idol), and they're really just very cute together. and for whatever reason I'm a huge fan of the spy obi. haha In fact I don't think there was really a character I disliked. Even the story itself isn't bad.

However despite fantastic artwork, and good characters...I find myself bored. I think it just lacks some drama or major conflict. Yes, it has that, but I'm never really drawn in to the point that I HAVE to find out what happens next. It's more of a story that just sort of floats along peacefully, and even when conflicts arise you no nothing bad is truly going to happen from the start. It's like a fairytale kind of.

If you're looking for a pretty, peaceful love story, I'd definitely check this out. However I kinda got bored after a while and dropped it at about chapter 18....
