This manga is awesome, the story is very original. the artwork is great as well. character development is topnotch. And I can't believe that this manga made me cry in some parts. haven't ever read an action manga that made me cry. this is truly amazing.

Ive been readin this manga for 1 and half years now..... its my favorite manga of all time... the artwork is insane.... tons of hot girls with big titties... Lots of blood... People dyin... especially those that were newly introduced and thats just too good... Ive been dyin to read the new chapters... but even tho theres so many teams translatin it... many of them just lacks people or something and r 2 slow... well anyways if u watch the anime... or havnt watch it yet... dont watch it.. cuz it sucks.. the endin on the anime completely fucked up... the story as well... so just wait for the manga... the only bad thing about the manga is that its a monthly manga and gets people too addicted to wait for the next chapter cause when i just start readin it i finish it all in like 4 days (around 7hr each day..) and were waitin for ages for new chapters... especially since the artist took time off for the part 2 after kei died...

ps.. even tho im not 18 years old ive been readin seinen manga for 2 years now.. theyre better than shonen in violence and naked girls... and if u love this manga like i do... u should try to read Zetman cuz its freakin another awwwwwsome seinen manga!!!~

Gantz is a nice seinen manga. What the good thing about this manga are not the blood/gore and sex, but what the characters think during the socalled alien hunt/sport, the psychological part of the manga. Every decision could save lives or destroy them (at first the members of the gantz team and later the normal civilians).

The character and gadgets design is great. The character development is even greater (mainly Kurono Kei: changing from a lazy/ignorant boy to a person with responsibilities).

As for the (minor) flaws in the manga, in my opinion there's not much explanation about why hunting down the aliens, especially when they don't seem to form a threat to humans (at first). And why does Gantz exists, what's its origin (maybe some explanation in the manga in the near future?).

As for the nudity/sex/gore, well it's a seinen/mature manga; in my opinion it's the style of this manga, without these characterics it's not Gantz. These characterics of the manga separate the men from the boys.

Can't wait for an ending, I give it a 9 because there are still stuff left unsolved, like the MC (Kurono Kei) brother just randomly pops up in the story and gets taken out then forgotten about for the next 200 or so chapters

the story is good and the art is improve overtime. This manga keep killing new character and another new one come in make me mad sometime but so far the story looking good and everything is come to concluse and the mystery will reveal soon i hope. this is one of the craziest manga out there

I watched the Gantz anime awile back and didnt relly find it too my liking. recently i decided to give the Gantz manga a try because it is so popular. I gant beleave i put the Amazing manga off for as long as a did it is the best acion/story/art oriented manga i have every read and others in the same gonera dont even come close to how Awesome this is. the Characters start off scared and wimpy to eventally becoming the hero's of earth and at times you will feel sorry or even sad when one of the characters die. there ist much more i can say other then you MUST and i mean MUST read this manga in your life time. Thats why i must give the manga a................

Its AWESOME and i mean its a great manga. the beginning and the final phase are my favorite parts. The art is really cool. some of it aint drawn but i say i rarely see that in alot of todays manga. Its true to its genre its a MATURE manga and only those who can stand seeing gore and i mean like floors covered with bodies and body parts and blood. it tends to lose u in some chapters but if u read the whole things it draws u into its world. makes u think to about what a soul is and the price of a life and how humans can be both the most frail and yet strongest creature alive.

Tough looking boys and girls chop and gun down aliens, or get smashed, eaten or blown up. There is no end to this and someday it'll just be abruptly stopped.
I didn't hate it. But it's my kind of leisure reading.
Shinjuku chapter were most disturbing, btw. (Lots of innocent people killed for no good reason) - if you think massacre is not for you, don't try this one.

I read right up to phase 2, but currently don't have the stamina to carry on reading at this stage, it took over my life. I love this series to bits, the story is intense, shocking and at times rather disturbing. It feeds the right amount of information at the necessary times to keep you between knowing and not knowing what the hell is going on, but it's done in such a way that keeps you hooked and wanting more. I started reading a week ago and couldn't put it down. I'm defiantly obsessed and have already recommend it to as many people as I can.

it started really interesting, and was good somewhere until they start constantly bringing people back to life. Or maybe when they introduce the angolina jolie character. That's about when it got bad.

It just is terrible now. Too much CG, and the story gets more and more absurd. Also there's actually too much fighting to make up for the confusion caused by the shady story. They randomly introduced a semi "big" bad guy out of no where. No development really. It's a very poorly executed story.
