i rily like the drawing and i like how a demon queen falls in love w/ her supposedly most dangerous enemy and he also starts 2 slowly like her back. the thing is tho, she fell 4 him WAY 2 fast. its kinda wierd but i like everything else i guess. ^u^ o! but the story line got kinda stupid w/ all the crap in the end. -3-

I can't honestly tell if this is good or bad, mostly because of the abysmal translation by JanimeS. The translator of the first five volumes has absolutely no idea what makes an English sentence sound right.
Thankfully, they drop it and it gets better afterwards, but having read most of the story in a haze of pseudo-yoda speak and blather, it's hard to give it any overall rating. That said, I suspect it isn't great - there's a lot of repetitiveness and the characters are fairly flimsy. It flips between comedy and angst fairly often, but it's always the same angst. The core themes are highly exaggerated and repeated again and again - hammered in.
It's okay for what it is though, I think. I'll follow the sequel and see if it lives up to any of the potential the premise has.

From the first few chapters I expected a quite nice, heartwarming story with strong, oryginal characters... Unfortunately, after volume six or seven, it feels as author does everything to prolong it, adding another characters and turning it into stupid battle manga, that has nothing to do with the beginning, characters also are getting worse. I just finished reading it and the ending left me quite disapointed.

I was expecting something good from the reviews but. Good enough, and the art is nice, but I don't even know how many stories I read with the exact same premise of "amazingly powerful and evil villain sees good in the world and promises loyalty to hero." Even with the slight variation in the main character being the villain, the queen is the generic manga-girl type with no real depth to her, with the added insult of the same generic backstory that's given to all characters of her subtype. =/
The manga is not bad, but probably worse--it was boring. No real emotional intensity and I never get the feeling that something is at stake. The pivotal relationship--between the demon queen and the hero--is nonexistant and shallow at best. If only I'd known ahead of time to turn off my brain a little more. Guess this'll show me to trust reviews here.

the story isnt like those super psychological ones which u requires tons of thinkin and then after readin a few volumes.... u get tired and decided to read something else for a moment..... nor is it those superhero story where the good guys defeat the evil guys and the heros never die.... hence, it a pretty relaxin and is good... (tho i still prefer psychological best)
the artstyle is more of a shoujo style... yet.... it does not have what i hate about shoujo art -- the super god damn no color.....its all so white with shitty backgrounds. therefore, the art is awesome too.... the coloring especially... is very detailed and are on the top level...
i finished all the way up till the 7th volume 1st chapter - part 1 in a few hours since you will not get tired of readin it because it does not require too much of thinking from your mind.... just go with the flow.... and it might be predictable... but still interestin...

Sira FTW!
I don't agree with the guys who says Sira's (Sheila's) character is unbelievable or confused.
As detached she is from everyone else (humans and monsters) because of her great powers, killing is just a way to solve problems to her, or even a game. In the human history we have seen many people doing things just as bad (slavery for example) while having a nice family life, going to church and such. It doesn't necessarily means they were all evil fanatics or sadists.
When Sira joins the Hero, while this is somewhat of a game to her at first, she also approves him as a worthy opponent and therefore as a being equal to her own. And because she is detached from everything else, it's natural he get's very important to her while the other humans and monsters are still only dead meat.
The Hero's character is much more ... if not fully unrealistic it's annoying. But we have seen many over-idealistic people like this already, Vash the Stampede form Trigun comes to mind, and I'd like to see what happens when he realizes who Sira really is.
The Art is sometimes great, but often confusing therefore i give it only a 9/10.

I don't really enjoy the art much - a bit too messy and the story style is a bit too typical and not very convincing me (to be honest sometimes I felt annoyed at the behaviour of the Demon Queen and the Hero as well)
SO GOOD! XD

It was good -- Good art, and fairly decent plot. I think the eyes are beutigul if not all pretty similar. Nice plot intersting in the way that Sheila and Hero were supposed to kill each other but can't for reason developing as the story progresses. And the fantasy isn't too bad. A lot of "morals" are in this manga which makes it a bit unoriginal in my opinion but the developments an pace of action is pretty good.
The new charcters we get intorduced to late on also make the story most interesting (the prince is such a cute child...), and did I mention that the eyes were amazing?
I'd reccommend it, definately.

Even though it started out as a typical adventure manga. It had more depth then what I was expecting.. I would have liked to see more mature drama between the hero and her in this one but overall it was a well written well drawn out story (prequel).
Spoiler (mouse over to view)
jumps straight to the point right from the start. The hero comes to slay he demon lord. She though falls for him so easily... And they go on different adventures. Some chapters are hard to get through because of how wordy and lengthy the chapters are. It took me by suprised.. Cause everytime I thought I was getting bored with the story. They found a new way some how to keep it interesting. It ends with a mini battle and questions as to what is going to happen next
