Doubt

So far (1-17) Doubt has been decent. I knew who the wolf was only a few chapters in. It seemed really obvious. The issue with this manga is that it tries so hard to throw you off the right track that it is easy to tell even in the light of all the evidence the main character keeps finding to suggest it was someone else. It seemed to me that the people playing the game all made really idiotic decisions that were usually backed up by senseless claims and that there would have been a very easy way to catch the wolf from the very beginning. In retrospect it seems like I really built myself up for a let down reading Dout. The the summary had me expecting something that would be akin to saw in a sense when it is only a half decent closed circle murder mystery with a few overly contrived twists. The use of the limited perspective of the main character was well done and probably the only reason I kept reading until this point. I'd consider Doubt only entry level as a horror manga.

I found "Doubt" enjoyable, even though sometimes it's confusing because the physical similarity between two characters. I initially guessed which could be the Wolf, but when I spotted a vital clue in chapter 2, I changed my mind while hoping I'd be proven wrong. I wasn't, which was kind of disappointing. sad I was hoping a more complex yet still plausible twist. Perhaps it'll come.

Those comparisons of "Doubt" and movie "Saw" are silly and shallow. The "which one of us is the real killer?" mystery has been around for decades! The best and contemporary version is "Mafia" - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mafia_(game), which was created in 1983. :/

I totally hate horror movies and such. But I like crime and mystery and stuff so I ended up reading it and whoa, even though I absolutely hate horror and stuff I couldn't stop reading, I had to know the rest. Though it kinda sucked since I guessed the right character that was the wolf from the start. I haven't seen Saw - and to be honest I don't want to either, horror movies give me traumas - but I read an article on wikipedia about it so I can see that the concept is the same, but I can't say it's quite similar. embarrassed This is a must to read though, no question about that :3

this is a really good series. im dont usually read these types of manga but ill make an exception. It highly reminds me of the movie series Saw. I don't think they are trying to copy it though. The way it is set up is a little different with the whole one in the group is the wolf type thing. But i you liked Saw, youll like this.

Spoiler (highlight to view)
at the last chapter, it was revealed that the real wolf was mitsuki LOL....
for me its quite expected if you only read the manga over and over again....
there is a hint for that...
but the truth is its not only mitsuki whos the sole killer but the most of the killings and the plan was made by someone else....
the real wolf himself in the story...
and for me its like a psycho twist that at the end Yuu will realize that he was the real psycho killer... like a schezofrenic type of story LOL....

i just got this idea coz... there was this chapter that hajime told yuu that he texted him and change its schedule for there first meeting LOL....

read between their lines... it has this type of possibility....

another possibility is mitsuki is the plain killer because of the files found in the building relating to the investigation of her father...(a cop, or investigator)
maybe for veangence.... common reason...

but i have a feeling that Yuu is the Main Wolf....
and i hope so... to make it more twisted....

"the rabbit will hung the real wolf after being caught"

this manga does have a dark twisted plote but doesnt go therw the end to make things better. suck as the kills are quick with very little charter devlopment. the kill is quit very oveas. To the point that you hope that this is done in diffrent arks that use the same people with a diffrent wolf out of the group each time. doubt also donst show the blood from the gore that goes on. it also has yet to tell how the killer did all the kills!!! so personl the sires has cout my eyes but the takes to muck time to keep them set on the manga

This manga takes the cake. It leaves you on the edge of your seat till the end. Kinda like a twist between Saw and The Boy Who Cried Wolf. Awesome art. Awesome Plot. A lot like Saw. I recommend it for anyone who likes the thriller type of story!!!

Reading this manga gave me the chills. The artwork is really good, the story-telling is great and the characters don't make me want to upturn my monitor. But it is creepy. Like, watch your back and don't forget to look up, kind of creepy. But read it, because it's good.
