The manga is entertaining due to its fast pace and pretty good art, but the characters are extremely shallow and annoying in comparison to other seinen manga(I'm not gonna list them here as they've been mentioned countless times already by other commenters).
Awesome!

Great art, lots of violence, moral dilemmas, ecchi, a few sex scenes that are tastefully done (Köinzell being the piece of shota that makes women fawn over him), and decent characters. A good read! The only drawback is that we need more!
one kickass manga

love it, a great blend of story and action and its epic!!! guys that are saying there's too much sex are exaggerating as there's only a few in the first few volumes after that there hardly any at all. all manga fans should read this.

Ok suvi of IIDX will not be comming back to the internet anytime soon. I have been given the task to keep uploading volume 8 to the end. Suvi got it completed and per his wishes this will be a weekly release. Until I'm told otherwise it's once a week

Personally, it's surprising, since I'm a big shoujo fanatic. I read very few shounen and have barely ever touched a seinen, especially one like Ubel Blatt. However, since I heard good things about it, I decided to give it a try. And jeez, was I ever surprised.
It's not like I don't read shounen or seinen because I don't like the genre, it's just because I haven't been able to find a story that captivates me. Even with shoujo, I hate magical girl and fantasy ones. Why was I drawn to Ubel Blatt? Well, first off, the art is incredible. Second off? There was no second off until I started reading it ^^;;
First off, I wouldn't just dump this series because of all the random sex in the first few chapters of the story. It seriously tones down later on, and it's seinen, so I was kind of expecting lots of blood and meaningless fanservice anyway. However, what really captivates me is the story. I love this antihero thing the mangaka has going on, with society not really understanding anything behind his intentions. The greed, betrayal, I feel such strong hatred and happiness when reading Ubel Blatt. It gives me such mixed emotions as I go through the chapters. I'm simply in love with what's been presented.
Overall I'm extremely impressed with what I've read so far. The only problem I have I guess is the repetition of crying, the baddies literally on the floor pleading for forgiveness every chapter, and the hope that one day Ato will put on some frikking pants...I'm sick of looking at what can't even be classified as underwear or a thong. If you're going to wear armor, wear something decent that can actually PROTECT you, jesus. Oh, and Koinzell is the best!

i think that in recent months, there has been a whole lot of ubel blatt scanlations coming out. keep up the good work, even though i only read raws. and consequently, the number of user reviews has increased
i wanna begin with saying that whoever thinks this is a berserk clone better go back and reread both series. they are nothing alike. honestly, i even like this one better. im not gonna knock off any points for my single criticism either. and that is that most of the time, i gotta go back and reread the chapters because i cant remember who is who and what the last thing that happened was. the characters (well most of them) are well developed and realistic, even in a fantasy world. the plot is straightforward but not brutally obvious and there are plot twists. the action is fluid and there is plenty of blood. i could do without some of the sex scenes, but i dont care so much. ive read enough berserk to get used to them. that is their only real similarity. anyway, if you have a day and nothing to do, read this. if you have a day and stuff to do read this anyway. its very very good

Nice. Not so much liking the sex with random women at the beginning and the fact that Puuchi (that's her name, right?) is a tiny little girl made to look like a freaking slut. Other than that...truly awesome. Love the action, suspense, and cool plot. The main character's personality isn't so bad either, but I keep wondering what'll happen to him after his 'revenge' is over? Just fall down and die or something? Moving on, the art is great too- serious props to the mangaka! Thanks scanlators, can't wait for more.
