The plot isn't remarkable other than the fact that it is realistic. One part I particularly like is that they didn't study a lot and didn't do well in school but their grades didn't magically become good because they decided to study a lot in the end. The manga is very realistic in both the relationships between the characters and the story in general (I don't want to spoil too much by giving examples). The story is also really funny and done well. This is a good manga to read if you want a nice laugh.

Character (40%): 9
The characters are all likable. The only problem with the characters that I had was that Risa pretty much remained a slacker to the end of the story. Maybe it's just me but I thought that she would try to get more serious with her school work. I love the chemistry between the characters and the relationship (how they always joke around) but a lot of times I felt that they were more friends than boyfriend/girlfriend. Although the characters are likable, some of them got annoying at times because they are so realistic. I got annoyed at Risa's reaction to Atsushi's declaration about his college choice (I don't want to spoiled) but the characters were good overall and pretty much stayed consistant.

Enjoyment (10%): 9
I liked reading the story but some parts of the story exaggerates the facial expressions (it is suppose to be funny but I personally think that its ugly). I would have enjoyed the story more if they focus more on issues like their future earlier on. I also didn't like the ending a lot but the story itself was funny.

It's adorable! Shoujo fans will most definitley adore this.

The only thing I had a problem with would be the length...it gets slightly slower and boring after

It just goes up and down.

But the ending is decent, I guess. ^^

I absolutely loved it! It has great humor in it and lovely, sweet characters. Also, I liked their facial expressions.. some of them really made my day I really recomend this one for ones who like happy, sweet high school manga.

i totally love this manga. i did an allnighter to finish it in one blow. i couldn´t stop laughing, crying and shouting moe or kawaii. the anime is also great (otanis voice let me melt)

This manga has got to be one of the best shojo manga out there. It has a nice story plot with many funny scenes. It not exactly romantic as much but it's very funny. So if your feeling moody, this manga is guranteed to make you smile and laugh.

I started this series by watching the anime in 2008 and it was hilarious to watch and then read the manga and was also hilarious to read. The great thing that i like about this manga is that it makes me laugh really hard, i don't care what kind of mood your in, it will make you laugh. All the hi-jinx and situations tied in together as well makes for one great manga.

It definetaly a good read!!!

just reading the first chapter will hook you up!trust me! and this manga is so..innocent...i love all the characters; how they have their own personality cause some other manga-ka don't show more of the characters personality but this one have it, like when they're angry, happy, depressed... all of them have their own way on expressing their selves. nakahara-san really is great!

This series always manages to make me laugh, and it always brings me out of a terrible mood. I can't help but love Lovely Complex, because it's such an original and awesome situation. Just thinking about her plot, it makes me so happy; that two people can get along so well and despite their physical differences and complexes about themselves, love. I can really understand Risa-chan, I seem to have more of an affinity and likeness to her than when I watched the anime years ago, I guess I've gotten as strange as her since then. XD Nakahara-sensei's works can always be made out as hers, her style is so memorable and makes me love manga even more. <3 So yeah. You love thought-provoking-ness, to learn or discover new things? Though not everyone can get what I mean since I speak like an old Oba-chan three times my age. X3 This manga is something different in a good way. I think this manga is mainly about accepting yourself and everyone around us for all of our eccentricities. <3

I really love this manga. I had it all the time and I never even realised it had finished!! Oh god! It was very cute and funny - light hearted but meaningful at the same time. The author is indeed great. I love her other works - Hanada - too because that manga is sooo cute >< All her manga's are cute and innocent.

This was an excellently written and well delivered manga. The characters were funny and sweet. I think the art was expressive and really caught the eye. I'd read this one again and gladly.
