I highly recommend this manga, it's a realistic slice of life, it doesn't sugarcoat things. It made me have hope that Yuu's death sentence would be exonerated, when it clearly wouldn't.

I've been reading mangas nonstop the past few weeks to escape my own problems till I read this. Very realistic and emotionally well-balanced. Good art too. The ending was...I was expecting it but still prayed for a different one but I guess hopeless. It stuck to reality and that was what made it more amazing compared to other romance manga.

HIGHLY RECOMMENDED PSYCHOLOGICAL MANGA.

This was... Just great.... Emotional.. Balanced... Beautiful.... Fill with the good kind of depth in he plot and characters complimented with the good sort of simplicity tht keeps it realistic... No stupidity in this work.... None... If it weren't for the ending... Which is not my favorite type... But a true ending tht doesn't leave any holes none the less... If it weren't for not being my favorite type of. Ending I would have given it a 10....but other than tht.... This... Is absolutely perfect... Plz I beg everyone to read this... Its tht good.

Within the last 2 weeks I have read 17 manga(more than 1300 chapter).Out of these 1300 chapter, the last two chapter of Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan was the most memorable for me.I will definitely recommend to anyone and the ending was simply perfect.

I would have given it a perfect score, the only reason for deducting 0.5 point was because it was adopted from a novel(Maundy Thursday)and not a stand alone story. There are definitely many good novel than Maundy Thursday.

Simply Amazing

This is one of those rare series that brought me to tears, towards the end, I was laughing at myself for crying and being such a baby. But seriously, this is one of, if not the best manga I have read. It was short, but the characterisation was done beautifully, the ending was realistic and well executed. I must commend the author for such a well thought out story and the illustrator was really good at capturing the emotions that came with the story.

A definite recommend for anyone out there who loves romantic tragedy.

why is it that if you want to impose a strong emotional impact to a female character, it has to be sexually related (rape, sexual abuse) ? im sick and tired of all that kind of stuff. But actually it is really effective, because real life situations tells us that being a rape victim is really traumatic (if you've seen victim). Sadly, i really hate that stuff in manga/anime/visual novel

manga with rape never made me cry, but stuff as simple as the one in Ashita no Ousama easily moved me to tears.

common sense tells me this manga deserves a 10. personal opinion tells me it deserved a 1 point penalty for using rape as a plot device.
guess which side matters?

So starkly, sadly and desperately beautiful! Both the story line & the art are captivating. It really makes me think how we should appreciate all our lives again despite all its imperfections. I would recommend anyone who had gone through bouts of depressions in their lives to read this and hopefully understand that when you can at least get by one day at a time and start to give without expecting anything back in return, things will eventually start to look up.

I've just finished reading this and I have to say it was amazing! I really love Sahara Mizu's art and this time was no exception but the story itself and its development really touched me. So much that I couldn't stop crying in the last chapter.
I really recommend it. You won't be disappointed.

I just wanted to say that this is one of those stories that you need to read, yes or yes. It is powerful, heartbreaking but so beautiful. Even if you don't like sad themes, I think that this manga needs to be read because the story of these two characters is told in such a way, that you will remember it forever. How they change and save each other is beautiful.

Quote: "I'm worried I'm going to want to keep living.

As expected, when the manga gets its plot from a real book, the story is bound to be breathless. Along with neat, modern art, I just couldn't get this manga out of my head. I was beautifully written, smooth plot and a convincing tragic back story. Wow.
