Himuro Yukina, known as the "Absolute Zero Snow-woman" is a cold and observant girl. In addition, she is actually a popular cell phone novelist who goes by the name of Yupina. Sadly, with no other human contact than her cousin, Yukina is unable to express more romance in her novels. Kitami Shigure, your so-called "typical bishounen", who is really a womanizer, has fallen into Yukina's trap when she blackmails him, and they end up "love-acting" for the sake of their respective secrets.

I really liked it at the beginning. Even if I'm not a big fan of school-life romance manga, I found it pretty interesting. Although the whole cellphone novelist thing didn't make much of sense.
And ok, this one is one of the shoujo that focus on the relationships of the characters rather the story. I didn't mind that either... But now I feel that it is dragging.
The situation is rather cliche. Ok, it was entertaining at the beginning but now it became repetitive. I just hope it will end soon.
Lastly, most of the characters are drawn like they are shounen ones. Take for example Yukina... Nothing like the lead of a shoujo.

It is obvious that she likes Shigure, yet she hesitate. But when they are kissing and such, she does not mind or sometimes she is pushing him away. Why can't she try to think of her feelings? What her heart says? But she runs towards her cousin too. And later we get to see her former crush too, her own teacher.

I like the art; it is, after all, one of the best I've ever seen. The plot is well written, detailed carefully. I love how they use blackmailing to pull the two together, especially in the beginning. The mangaka knows when to pull the strings on your heart. It is carefully paced, and it makes people want to read more. But, despite all of this, the characters don't spark interest in me.
The main female lead is supposed to be strong-willed (well, that's what I think she should be, since she sounds like Misaki-chan from Maid-sama), however, she breaks into tears easily then I thought. Maybe it's just me, but I particularly don't like those type of girls who, generally, act strong and icy but break down into tears. I do, however, like how the mangaka added a very strong weakness to her, making her into not one of those unrealistic super tough tsundere girls.
And Shigure? I'm not sure about him. I can't say much, since I only read up to like, chapter nine, but so far I don't have any interest in him whatsoever. Overall, I give this manga rating of 6.5 because, in my opinion, the characters don't seem to pop out and seem to "wow" me. A lot of people might disagree with me, but although the plot seemed quite interesting, I think the characters aren't that good.

I really don't like characters like Yukina, who seem like strong leads but ends up breaking down and crying. I also heard that Mami became a clingy annoying thingy. I think the author for this title should work on her cast of characters because its quite annoying when a bunch characters are spilling tears all over the place and being helpless. On the other hand, the art was skilled but for the story, I can't say the same...

At first, I only read this because I was bored and had nothing else to do. But, boy, oh boy, am I glad I read this!
The art is nice, but not my favorite. It fits the story well, though I prefer this author's earlier works when it comes to art. Her characters were less... Gaudy. Anyway, I love the character designs, especially Akira <3
The plot shows off some originality, though there are still your lovable cliches here and there. Nothing too dislikable. I like the pace that it's going at, and the way the mangaka portrays the story is rather addicting. You can't help but wonder what's going to happen next.
The characters have distinguishable personalities and I like them each individually. My favorite character is Akira, though <3 He just portrays the perfect mixture of sexy and cute. I love him. The other characters are also likable, but I find Mami annoying. Such a cry baby. I'm glad she isn't the main character.
Overall, it's a good read. I really enjoyed it, which is something because I don't usually like well-known shoujo mangas.

At first I thought it would be your typical boring romance school story, but it adds a lot of agony of what it is going to happen next. Although it has a lot of cliches, it does not stop from being enjoyable. I consider it rather a cute story.
However, the main female character Yukina would suit more in a shounen/romance manga. She does not fit in shoujo titles... And I don't say that shoujo cannot have strong female characters but this one's looks fit more for an ecchi shounen. For example, look at her breasts; They are so big and like the other person said, her poses are also meant to be for an ecchi manga. Not to mention the way she acts around Shigure... Try to compare it with other shoujo titles and they are not that way.
Very enjoyable but I hope the author won't drag in the future just because the series is popular.

i dropped it. it started out ok but the more it went on the less i liked it.
i tend not to like stoic female leads because i find them slow, boring, and unapealing.
especially yukina for me there is nothing especially cute about her.
i also really really dont like cousin-cest even as a sub plot so that was a turn off.
plus the art is kinda pervy, the ways the female characters look and pose is really shounen style ecchi-ish, it doesn't fly with me to well as a female reader.
i would actually rather read the cell phone novel yukina is writing than the manga she stars in.

Despite the cliches and simple art style this manga is actually pretty good. The author is amazing at building up tension. A lot of the chapters start with romantic development (following the cliffhanger from the previous chapters) so it's like 'fuwa fuwa' then a conflict arises and it's like 'sonna~!!' then things progress and it's 'doki doki' and then it ends and the next chapter repeats the same process.
I know that sounds unbelievably stupid but it's actually quite addictive. You simultaneously support the main girl, want the hot guy, pity the guy who's liked as 'just a friend', and hate the scheming jealous girl. I think a lot of successful shoujo mangas try to get you feel all of those things and this one does it well.

I'm not very sure what to make of this series. It's like... youths with their superficial love, impulses and jealousy, or aloof, disinterested people coming to terms with their true feelings, depending on how you want to look at it. The various antics aren't the most original, but it's still a strange read.
