First of all, I feel like I wasted my time reading this manga til the end... only reason I read til the end is because I thought the story line was going to get better. It never did! There really wasn't story to it. It was all about hardcore raping. Perfect guy raping her and she doesn't even go to cops to at least report it. She lets him keep raping her. TOO MUCH RAPE. Every chapter was filled with RAPE and rape and rape. Rape after the other.

I thought I was reading RAPE Pornography NOVEL...
There is no memorable or touching scenes. It's all about rape, money, perfectness, and more RAPE.

It was alright in the beginning, nothing to bad. But then it dived straight foward into a piling pit of cliches you never want to touch. I can't believe I didn't stop reading once the whole brother thing was involved. I was naive back then and didn't see how utterly stupid this was. Oh and the prince is just annoying. He's perfect and the girl is a frickin idiot. The only thing good was the art <.<

Too much rape. 8| And it's not only the main guy that attempts to rape her, almost EVERY guy attempts it. Ugh. I hate manga that has a bunch of guys attempt to rape the girl, and it's completely okay because he's hot or somethings stupid like that, so it's brushed off quickly. The girl is weak (although, admittedly she's not as weak as other shoujo characters), the guy has no character development (he's "hot" and a rapist, that's it), and the story is boring. I didn't think the art was that good either, the big heads bothered me. And why is the guy completely perfect? He's rich, smart, and handsome. I hate guys that are perfect, but the girl has a ton of flaws; it just makes it seem like she's not good enough for him.

xD I have been reading this manga since 2005!! Really, I think I was the first smut I had ever read... And I have love it... I know than it's a really sick story, but I can't help it!! (And It make sad think it's over now u_u)

Story's somewhat cliche (rich boy <3 poor girl). I thought the beginning wasn't so bad, but then it got somewhat boring (the smut, in my opinion, was completely unnecessary between the time when Mio "first" meets Shouei till the time she finds out her past). Then it gets interesting when Hinata is recognized as part of Shouei's family and as the "runaway" starts. I do give a thumbs up to the nice art and the hot characters =D

LOL I agree with nightswan, if its smut you're looking for then love celeb's a better choice. Take the smut out of Desire Climax and you're not left with much really.. just tonnes of angst, family problems that HELLO are out of this world, and a typical shoujo clueless heroine who can't realize when she's being hit on. And things just keep getting worse =P

Gah...I think I've forgotten who's related to whom with all the angsting going on. One minute she hates him, the next she loves him. Get real! Who acts like that? Not even children! Wish the storyline was a tad more realistic or convincing.

Wow this is pretty brutal. I stopped at who knows where, probably around v4 but it felt like v20.
So much repitition, useless plots, usless twists.

Useless smut. I didn't even think such a thing existed.
I'm a fan of innocent girls and sexy playboys, but the plot is just horrible.

Just absolutly horrible.

People ask me if i'd rather have art or plot, and I always reply art. And that's whats driven me to read this until the 4th volume, but you wanna shoot yourself after.

If you have the brain of a 12 year old, hooked on acid and hormones, knock yourself wild with this manga.
But for those of you slightly more mature, go look somewhere else.

If you're a walking sack of hormones this manga will be your cup of tea. It's laced with sex, sex, and more sex, and well, that's about it. The guy is your typical abusive guy that seems to be prevalent in this genre. There are some twist, but the twist are ones that are so over used you yawn when they're finally brought to light. Desire Climax, is a good read if you like every other page to be nothing but sex, but if you want a really deep and meaningful love story, I would pass on this. Out of 10 I am giving this manga an 7. I mean the art work is really nice.
