Description
From Juné Manga

On his very first day at a brand-new job, shy Shima is trapped in the elevator with a hungover mess of a guy…who turns out to be his boss! Togawa’s prickly exterior definitely puts the rookie recruit on-edge, but it doesn’t take long before Shima’s every waking thought is invaded by his overbearing yet totally thoughtful superior. Will Shima put aside a history of disappointment in order to take a chance on a complicated relationship?

I had no idea that this was from the same mangaka who wrote Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai. I'm aghast, because I know I have totally found the greatest yaoi mangaka ever. Although this manga wasn't super totally great, it kicked off pretty well and I actually appreciate the side story since the main one seems to be in a ditch at the moment. I love Deguchi and the drama is completely real. And although Shima was likeable at first, he's going down the path of the crying, lacking in confidence typical uke...

Unlike Yashiro and Kage and D (in Saezuru Tori wa Habatakanai), the characters in this story kind of "fall in love" without a reason. Especially at the begin, it felt a little rushed and without any...reason! But I forgave that, because it was obvious that Togawa and Shima are meant to be. But Onoda beginning to like Shima was strange, and happened...because of what? He looked cute? Idk, it just lacked the resolve Yashiro/Kage/D (I can't remember the name) had, but I'm glad the mangaka got better in this and made progress. The drawings are nice though. 7/10

OH, AND I CAN'T WAIT TO SEE SHIMA'S EX-BF <3 I just love the whole concept of him still loving Shima and all. It's cute as hell, I want to see sooo bad.

It was a decent reading. Good drawings. The plot was banal, characters were boring and boring was also the manga itself, because of its slowness. It was also a little too depressing, to me. But... it wasn't horrible. Give it a try if you have free time and/or if you want to read something not too complicated.

I don't know what to think... I guess I had too big expectations due to the ratings, and that's why I was really disappointed. :/

I felt that the romance was rushed.

First chapter and they already have sex ... if the guy was truly hurt by his previous relationship he wouldn't let himself be held that easily.

And the story telling wasn't that good either : the interaction between the characters wasn't natural. It's as if they were confiding in each other just because it needed to be explained to the reader. (And I can't believe they were talking about their trauma so soon after they met).

It would have been more interesting to focus on the character who was disgusted with himself for being gay

thus bullying the one he loved
but the author didn't do it :/

In conclusion, the overall idea is great but it has a lot of flaws :/

So yeah sadly it's not worth remembering... sad

When I read the summary, it was really nice so I thought I give it a try. I also liked the beginning a lot...but as disappointing as it sounds, towards the middle, it just sort of dragged on. This story is too much about work that the love the two men have for eachother...well, I feel just really isn't there anymore. And yes, we all know the two have very terrible pasts but throughout the story, Shima should've made a bigger deal about how he doesn't want Togawa to throw him away like his ex did. He was thinking too much and the author didn't make him talk much so it ended up being a boring work.

This work is beautifully drawn but emotions should've been stronger, and should've been expressed louder. Towards the time when Togawa is being assigned to Kyoto, I couldn't wait until the manga finish so I just flipped throught the last couple of pages.
