At first i didn't thinking about reading it because of it arts but then after i heard it was great so i decide to check it out. After read few chapters getting used to the arts it really not that bad. the manga is unexpected good, really interesting.But one thing i found so funny and so weird about the main guy he scream all the time instead of just talk normally.since his looks already scary if + screaming= more frighten. I'm seriously the main guy and his day maybe scream language LOL they talk to each using screaming almost all the time. No understand it except themselves. But just to let u know this he is the most clueless main character ever!! once read u will know wat i meant by that LOL

This series absolutely cracked me up. No matter how many times it happens, seeing people's reactions to Kitano's face is absolutely hilarious. It never gets old. The story is lighthearted and funny with a touch of sweetness. While I would've liked to see more into Kitano's relationship with Ryoko as well as more of his family's misadventures, it was still very nicely done and a delightful read.

this was awesome! the art does take some getting use too, but its not that bad.
The storyline DOES get a little repetitive but if you stop and pick it up a day or two later you'll still enjoy it,
The character development is close to nonexistent for the male characters except the blonde guy, there were some for the female characters. Im a little sad that there werent more chapters because this is very amusing and very light reading.
They should have included more about his family and their little misadventures but other than that no complaints.
The ending was surprisingly good. Considering how I reaaaaaaaally dislike most endings.
All in all this was a 9/10.
Would've been 10/10 if it was a bit longer and talked more about his family.

Very hilarious. Although the gags are technically repetitive, they don't feel that way. This is sure to crack you up. And the art? Not exactly good, but I don't care.

Probably the only thing I have going against this is that it dragged on too long for its own good. It doesn't help that it's episodic, either. And Kuroda's freaking annoying. Haha, just had to say that.

I recommend this to everyone, but I would also like to recommend not to finish this in one go. A very good read on the side, if you will.

I thought i've read every decent shounen manga out there, until i stumbled upon Angel Densetsu. I've experienced a traumatic series ROFLMAOBBQ every single chapter.

I too judged the book by its cover and put this one aside for a long time, I'm glad i finally picked it up.

A true masterpiece.

It was about 20 minutes ago that i finished reading this manga and the truth is that it almost made me cry. I will be honest when i say that if you look down my 'currently reading' list you'l see one hell of a lot of manga all with one thing in common and that is the art. It would also be a lie if i said i dont judge a book by its cover, as all the manga im refering to in that list follows the Negima and Rosario + Vampire style of drawing, the furthest from it being series such as Bleach and Naruto. But as i continued to search through the Baka Updates Manga database one series continued to crop up, ticking all the boxes i was looking for, Angel Densetsu, and after putting it off a couple of times due to my first impresion of the art i decided to give it a go. I was hooked from chapter one. Sorry if i have lost you with my rambling alredy but there is one very important thing i have to get across, and that is the amount of emotion and geniune heart that is put into this series. I dont know if any of you know the songs Soothsayer by Buckethead or The Ministry of Lost Souls by Dream Theater but this manga brings forth the same feelings within me as these songs, a sort of mix between happy and sad, something that realy makes you contemplate life and the world we live in and relate it to the charcters in the story. This series has realy made me learn one thing and that is definately do not judge a book by its cover.

On a less serious/preachy note this manga is also funny as hell and i would definately reccomend it. Thanks for reading this, i hope it inspires some of you to read this series.

This is a fun and even sweet series. There's good timing and delivery of some of the jokes. It sometimes had me rolling on the floor. However, after time it does get a little repetitive. I think the mangaka could have fleshed out the romance aspect more and done a few other things to give the series a little more meat on its bones. The art is fine you will get used to it, the main character is supposed to be scary looking after all. The mangaka is the same guy who does Claymore and you can see some of the similarities in art style.

I enjoyed this series, but it needed more development so I can't give it a 10, but still a very decent series.

Yeah, Kitano is a kind and honest boy, but there are plenty of good guys without a monster face. Ryoko, think of the future of your children. Aside from that the comedy part is well done. You deserve 6 points.

The art can take some time getting used to, but the story and the comedy are off the charts. Its the type of manga you can reread and still find it funny. I find the story to be original along with the characters and would recommend this to anyone who wants to read something with comedy and little bit of odd romance.

OK, the art might turn you off a little bit, but the plotline is HILARIOUS. Comedy manga/anime turn me off because all the ones that I have read only made me chuckle at the most, BUT THIS MADE ME LAUGH ALL DAY. I mean, even my SISTER LIKED IT! Please give this a try. It is NOT a waste of your time.
