Fuka ftw

Rating: 10.0  / 10.0
just finished this one in almost one sitting and damn this is definetly own of the best love storys ive read so far, although ive to say that i didnt enjoy reading the 1st 72 ch. too much as ive watched the anime beforehand but even still they were great, and the things that happen afterwards are just great

if i had the time i would be going to re-read it instantly but too bad live doesnt agree with me on that one atm, anyway u can be sure im going to do so ones ive got the time^^

i know some of u might say its not worth a 10 but i just cant bring myself to rate it with something lower, especially since the ending was such a great one, i loved the last chapters and almost started crying when i saw fuka (ah damn shes just too cute), it was just perfect IMO

but now im also going to selfishly ask for a sequel damn it, i want to see fuka growing up and entering track and field with all her genes lol (guess i really will have t re-read this one, its just too touching)

An epic love story!

I loved reading this manga, it gave me a satisfied joyful feeling at the end. The love and hate relationship Suzuka & Yamato had really felt realistic which made it more meaningful and enjoyable to read. The story was wonderful, there was alot of sad heart wrenching moments as well as amazing cheerful moments that just leave a smile on your face. I recommend this manga to anyone who wants to relax on a sunday afternoon reading a love story.

In regards to the ending which had some mix feelings. I believe if you read this manga for the love aspect you will definately like it very much. Realistically not everyone can have everything they want in life, so its great to be reminded that love conquers all no matter if your life is not the way you want it.

Main character ruins everything

The art is amazing and the supporting characters have some great chemistry with one another. The main character, however, is the biggest stalker-wuss on the face of the planet. He is the embodiment of neediness and should be dragged out and shot for being a disgrace to all males. His presence severely deducts points from this otherwise decent manga.

Best romance manga I've read

Rating: 9.0  / 10.0
Maybe there are more like this in the shoujo world, but since I generally stick to shounen and seinen I don't know. Either way, this was a much better and more realistic take on romance than I'm accustomed to seeing in the shounen world so it really stood out as a great read.

Some don't the ending apparently, but I'm in the group that rather liked how it bucked the conventions and took a more realistic approach. Great manga all around.

Was imo one of the best endings in a Romance series (even a bit of a Harem in my eyes) so far. It's also one of the few believable ones I've read so far smile

Choose Another Girl

I'd like some character development. What this series gives is definitely not any of that. What's up with Yamato, anyway? Too whimsical if you ask me; joins track to appease the girl he likes... and then gives it up just as easily (several times actually). I remember when I only read it up to chapter 90 that it was pretty cool, but the later chapters, especially the time-skip, screwed things up.

A Different Twist to Romance
by decisions
March 23rd, 2008, 8:42am
Rating: 10.0  / 10.0
These days, just about every male-targeted romance manga -- as a collective -- is a spoof on Love Hina, with over the top slap-stick comedy, embarrassing situations, and misunderstood feelings for no real reason. I think most authors go waaaaaaay overboard developing those same themes on similarly packaged characters again and again and again and again.

SUZUKA IS NOT LIKE THAT. Forgive my abuse of caps, but I felt it was necessary to emphasize that point.

I think a lot of people read this manga expecting yet another Lova Hina clone and get thrown off by Suzuka's excessively coy act. Readers get bothered by how after getting so close, she suddenly pushes Yamato away. Let me clarify: these are NOT misunderstandings, but rather CONFUSIONS of her own feelings. This is why I LIKED the series; Suzuka is a girl who is difficult for the lead to hook up with because she carries far too much weight on her shoulders and she's the type who can't just ease back and let some of that weight slide off. She piles on more and more and ends up being insensistive.

I don't like giving out 10's, but Suzuka was a story that touched me personally in how it relates to my own past in a number of ways, not just romance. For me, this story unquestionably deserves that rating.

Suzuka is the best romance manga out there

Suzuka really make me feel addicted for the first time... Basically both the characters can be together beats everything! Although they did not realise their goals, they got together in the end and this is good enough for me
