From Del Rey:
Poor Mugi Tadano... The sixteen-year-old is heartbroken after his girlfriend moves away. To ease his troubled state, Mugi takes a summer job at his friend Kazuki’s beachside snack bar/hotel on a tropical island. It seems like the perfect plan–until Kazuki sets Mugi up on a date with Yuu, who’s supposed to be, well, a little less than perfect. When Yuu arrives, however, she’s not the monster that either of the boys had imagined. In fact, Yuu is about the cutest person that Mugi has ever seen. But after Mugi accidentally walks in on Yuu in the bath, the girl is steamed. When trying to apologize the next day, he discovers that Yuu has left the shores of paradise. Mugi vows to search high and low for the beautiful Yuu, but will he ever see her again?

well simply put rating 10 is just a joke as original as the story.....
pretty boring actually good if you just want to oogle breasts; but there are breast-oogling series out there that are much better content-wise
It's very entertaining!
I found the story very fun and enjoyable to read! It became a must read to me!
Just read it :D
This is a great Manga since the pacing is very toned down and the story goes down easy like a mid summer's lemonade. And yes it helps that the female lead is a total hottie. I mean it's not like any sucessful shows here doesn't feature knockout female leads...ie: boy meets world, the OC, saved by the bell, etc.
A typical Shounen Romance manga. If you've read some manga in the same genre, you're not going to be in for any surprises with Pastel.
Classic plot involving a ever-forgiving female lead and a rather clumsy male protagonist. The story is realistic, but only to a point. The frequent use of Deus ex Machina and coincidental events results in a more or less predictable story. The male character makes a mistake, and fearing that he has upset the female lead, he seeks to redeem himself in various ways. He is ultimately forgiven at the end by the female lead. The cycle repeats itself again and again.
Then again, if you like underaged teenage girls with ridiculously large breasts, you should most definitely give Pastel a try.
This manga is pretty good, but not Awesome. Most of the character designs are just too similar and bland, but the fanservice is very well executed. Story is also good but nothing that keeps going in your head till you read the next chapter/volume. Definitely check it out if you're into the genre. But I like reading other series better.
its so cool
so cool i love this manga , the story is comedy and raomance series , i like all the charecters , my fave is mugi and kazuki , u just get really sad when u realize that u read all the chapters and u have to wait for the next one to come , this an amazing series u should read , u r sad when they are sad and happy when they r happy its really cool thanx xoxo
This is what the mangaka wanted Parallel to be...
Or so it's been said... =p
I love Kobayashi Toshihiko works, so far also read Parallel (complete).
I prefer hers compared to Mizuki Kawashita (Ichigo 100%, Lilim's Kiss, Akane Chan Overdrive) & Kaoru Kawakata (Open Sesame, First Love Kiss) which is in the same genre.( Of coz I still like all of them )
but her works have the best artwork, most realistic story, most natural echiness, most acceptable main character & best enjoyment.
For prevert guys like me. Maybe girls can try (just so that U know more about ur pervert boyfriend)
