Description
The previous lords have committed as many atrocities as possible to fill their bellies. I, the only daughter of that house, had discovered that my servant and lover was a spy. And as the people wanted, my life ended with my execution.
However, with the memory of getting beheaded intact, I began a new life. I was planning to shoulder the sins of my past life and become a nun, but by some trick of fate, I came to work as a maid for the current lord. Under my former lover, whose name, age and even hair colour were all lies.

well, i like the story building and the character, but the amount of bubble text kinda put me of
I can see that many readers are torn between the female lead and male lead, and whether the male lead was right to do what he did and whether the female lead truly was deserving of her fate. But to be honest it doesn't matter. It's impossible to get on board with the two of them being a pair again. It's just really unpleasant given the history between them.
I can't even bring myself to rate this higher even though it's a well written story simply because the female lead continues to punish herself in her second life, which is just completely absurd, and she continues to agree that she deserved to die. No, she didn't. End of. Infuriating.

This is more an atonement story than a love story (but it's definitely also a love story). The story is their journey to learning to accept themselves and what happened and learning to move on from their past.

Rather than the events themselves, it's the self-loathing aspects of the characters that got me. But as sm1 who did not expect the story to drive me to tears as much as it did, I would caution readers to take the notice of tragedy tag.

I can see ppl being mad at and even hating the ML, but his actions throughout and after her death were ones that showed he was trying to give the greatest respect he could to the MC to not make her death in vain. And still, even as he saved the people from the oppression of the MC's family, he deeply regretted his role in her demise and never forgave himself or let anyone forgive him for it. He ended up dedicating his full life to serving the ppl bc that was all he felt he had left to live for.

The MC chose to die the way she did. Whether or not we should agree with her choice, it was still smt she decided to do on her own. She had the chance to absolve herself from being included in her family's evils, as she was unaware of them and did not do anything herself, but she blamed herself for her ignorance in her ppl's suffering and understood how their anger could not be quelled until they saw her family, the ppl's villains, be put down totally. Her decision to die with her family was part of what she felt was needed to be her own atonement (even if we readers may not agree that she should be blamed or punished). I'm just most upset at how she came to loathe herself bc of it. A large part of the story is her learning to cherish herself again.

While the ML suffered so much even after 15 years he is alone and the closest people to him makes his life living hell like the head maid who threatens him or other servents but he still cares for them and when FL reveals her identity he just accepts her wtf she is stupid ignorant child and he who suffered famine and many more under her family rules. She should have been punished more or he should've given her more severe punishment.
He even drank poision for her and what does she do to get the antidote she just kidnaps her former finance with a knife and stupidly fails at that while jumping and gets herself kidnapped while thinking she is useless bi*ch your a stupid and useless.
Nobody cares about ML who has done all and gave is life for all the people at the mansion at chapter 15 when they returns everybody is licking her shoes while ML who suffered the most damage is just silent in the corner like a rat and that b**ch is hogging all the crying and self indulgence with her former maid. LoL a 'A' tier cliche trash manga with base characters and cringe.
Agonizing to read this trash and seeing people saying bad about ML while the FL is just the trashiest b**ch.

I love the art style. Kudos to @Machi_k0 to that.(The mangaka's username on twitter)
As for the plot, I'll give it 1000/10. @Morinoionn (author of the LN's twitter acct). Some scenes just me hit me so hard 😭
At first, I really hated what Helt (Kaid) did to his lady.When she was condemned, he chose to save the fiefdom rather than to spare her although she was innocent. I'm not saying what he did wasn't right ( in fact it was commendable) but it just hurts to think that she was deceived and put to that state because of her family's wrongdoings. I really cried when Helt confessed what he did after that 'incident' and the fact that he really wanted his lady's forgiveness and start all over again.😭 Both main characters were flawed but somehow, you can't just hate them for some reason. When both the lord and the princess teared up, bruh, I cried hard. 💔

Imagine, you are spy. You need to bring down the lord. But it's risky to let even one of the lord family to be alive, what will you do? I think people already read about how he is suspected by the guard because he give her chance to defend herself (chapter 7.2) and how there is possibility reuis will not survive if there is even just one family remain? (chapter 5) And it's clear that he asked her about "Why you don't defend yourself?" (chapter 1) There is no way he can defend her because people will not believe him if he do that and Reuis will be in ruin if no one govern it. She need to defend herself and he let her to do so but she refuse. Don't give me "If he really love her, he will do anything for her" It's illogical, how can he sacrifice the future of city for his love?

Being reincarnated into another body and having people curse your previous life for the fifteen years you were granted to live again.... That's tough....
The story is pretty decent, although the pacing is a bit fast and parts of it don't flow too well. Nonetheless, the characters' emotions are depicted very well. I'm loving this.
