Contrary to what others may say, I don't think that the "gore and sex" were pointless. Actually, those parts were pretty pivotal to the whole manga.

Now, don't get me wrong, I haven't quite completely figured this whole manga yet but I'm slowly getting there (I hope).

What I mean to say is: Tsukumo Kitsune is probably one of those mangas where you'll have to think for a little while, dig a little deeper, and, ultimately, be a little more patient.

Also, I thought the art was nice.

I'm going to go ahead and say that Kotonoha's release suffers from bad translation. Or poor grasp of English on the translator's part. I can't tell. But I have no idea what this was supposed to be about. I read through the entire thing, but couldn't find any connection between the different sequences. I can't help but feel there was supposed to be some deeper meaning to this, but I can't tell for the life of me what that's supposed to be. If anyone understands the last page with the narration about string... well, I'd like to know. Also, the fonts used for a lot of the dialogue were terrible, making some of the text very difficult to read.

Technical shortcomings aside, it looks like the author put a whole lot of work into this piece, both the artwork and the story, which makes it really hard for me to rate this poorly. It seems like it should be way more interesting, but I can't get past the nonsense.

Great artwork. Weird story that I can't understand. Can't recommend it really, though it is short enough (32 pages) that it's not a complete waste of time to read.

I actually liked the art, quite a lot. There were some panels where characters were badly drawn, but then there were others that were exceptionally beautiful. Besides, hot naked kemonomimi girls are always a good thing!

So yes, there's nudity, sex, and a very strange evisceration scene. If you try to read this manga as a straight forward story, it doesn't make much sense. Instead, try reading it as a kind of dream sequence or maybe an after death experience. Then some of the events depicted seem a little less absurd, but only a little.

There aren't enough horror elements in this manga to make it worth reading for horror fans. Fantasy readers may be more satisfied. Highly recommended for fans of hot naked kemonomimi girls, like me biggrin

Not one good thing I could point out.

Usually when I read a manga there is atleast one good thing it that I can point out but in this one that wasn't possible. The story made no sense, which didn't help the baffling ending. The artwork was so terrible that even the speech and SFX was unreadable on some pages and finally sex and gore with on point what-so-ever.

Worst Oneshot I've read so far. ^_^
