Pretty damn entertaining. Yes, sure, it's the whole stereotypical regal, badass, raven-haired protagonist vs the scheming blond green-tea b, but they don't give the protagonist some lame "I read a novel in my past life" cheat code where she coincidentally bumps into every important person in the novel in a marketplace while disguised as a commoner. Instead, the protagonist genuinely doesn't have many cards to play at first and has to figure things with her own talents. The bad guys also have some dimensions to them but not the exhausting "is secretly good" kind. The blond antagonist is awful, sure, but she's kind of sympathetic as an ambitious working girl who's hustled her way to the top and started to think she could stay there. The emperor character is a hilarious incel man-baby with enough mommy issues to keep a team of Freudian analysts busy for life, and even the probable ML has motivations of his own and is not just a cardboard cutout of a devoted knight. It's low-calorie fun!
