The manga tells the story of a young man who goes to Tokyo in pursuit of his dreams of becoming a mangaka. Arriving there, he gets a job at the famous Chiba Productions - the studio responsible for the famous manga Ashita no Joe at the time.
Basically, the story of Ashita no Joe Akogarete is a beautiful homage to the well renowned Tetsuya Chiba, the author of Ashita no Joe, and owner of Chiba Productions. The author, Sanbanchi Kawa, was part of Chiba Productions' assistant team (at the time, he worked as an assistant for the manga Ashita no Joe). This manga is nothing more than the story of the experiences and memories of that glorious time.
