MC does get in on the action

But it's too little too late.

Very cute, very fluffy. If you're looking for a low-stakes, cozy read that still has the familiar game mechanics then look no further.

MC is an all-loving, violence abhoring, sweet and kind character for a reason. His extreme pacifistic, doormat nature...if you haven't already twigged to why he's that way, is because...

Spoiler (mouse over to view)
...he's basically God's avatar. This God, called Ark, disappeared and the MC is his reincarnation or something. The important point is that Ark had a symbiotic relationship with the World Tree and when Ark disappeared, shit went bad for the World Tree.

The World Tree needed someone to communicate with its creatures and cleanse its messed up realm. It appointed the MC to the job. Thus, MC's newest job title "God Ark".

And appropriately, God is kind and sweet and selfless and wonderful.

Nothing special

Reviewed around ch 20
It's got a couple of interesting ideas but it's too...simple. Things come too easily, including allies.
And the (human) 'villains' are unnecessarily villainous when their goal is arguably noble. Feels weird.

Author made it pointlessly dark.

So as the other reviews noted, it's wayyyy too easygoing/lame/naive, etc. Which by itself wouldn't be too bad: there's entire genres about 'isekai slow life' and stuff like that. Just being a happy world working on farming or gardening isn't a bad thing per se, it definitely can have it's own charm.

However, the author decided to make the world 'realistic' and have villains and evil people and ... you know, a semi normal setting? So combine the two genres and it drastically clashes all the time. In recent chapters we have a super idealistic prince who's just as soft and naive as the MC, and the ONLY reason things don't end in disaster (rap*, slavery, execution) is because the MC uses his storybook writing powers to save everyone. So it's not just the MC like that, but a few others. Honestly, if the author had just made it more like the 'slow life' series (plural), then the MC would've fit right in, and it might have been enjoyable that way.

TL;DR. Super soft weak annoyingly fluffy happy characters in a world that doesn't suit it, so it just annoys all the readers and with plot holes galore.

stubborn writing

It's not only that the writers want to stick to the "brown haired with glasses that's weak and kind" korean man trope, but that the writers want both the cultivation style adventure for the man while trying to convince the audience that the man wants to just be a quiet shopkeeper. he keeps being rewarded these cheat skills and using them, knowing he is changing the status quo of his world. yet we're supposed to believe he wants nothing to do with the strong players of the world? ridiculous.

There's a limit to being naïve, MC is way past it

Easygoing quickly turned to ignorant, naïve, denying and underestimating themselves.
They also don't seem to know, care or try to find out what's going on, not much surprise or acceptance either, just apparent ignorance. Other characters are also shown as ridiculous, letting clear signs of MC being special just ignored or dismissed.

Additionally, Constant new functions / aspects with no explanations turned the plot into a mess.

With both the main character(s) and plot being bad, there's no point in reading the series.
