From Acme:
An Inoue Nawo title that focuses on a man whose job description includes disposing of dead bodies and the stray who blackmails him into sheltering him.

Far from being the most perfect thriller there is but this manga was still pretty entertaining for me. I think the omission of focus on each character's background is a deliberate choice to draw the audience's attention nearer to the underlying mystery. And this is one of those few times that its style of art works - there's absolutely no use of toner/patterned shading, everything is done in black and white with ink, which creates this really bleak and ominous atmosphere like an eery background noise usually used in thriller films to enhance the intended effect. It suits the story's vibe like a glove so effectively and effortlessly.
this had the potential to be a gem but the characterization was so weak, it felt like they were just cliches taken from other bl stories. there's a certain mystique about the characters but since there wasn't really any emotional tension (also certainly not backed up by the expressionless art), i didn't feel compelled to really know anyone's backstory. it kinda felt dumped on me when i finally found out about it, i barely cared. romantic build-up was also severely lacking. this story really felt patched together haphazardly.
“Sora”, Japanese word meaning Sky, can also mean Empty. And its the latter meaning towards which I am leaning. Leaving aside all the problems I have with the story itself, it is the art work with which I am concerned here. For the most part of this manga the background is empty. The clothes are lacking details as they are either swathes black or white. This manga is seriously lacking in details, nuanced characterization, and plot lines which not only connect but add to the whole.
... It's not that it's boring, but I HATE that kid.
I dislike forceful guys, and girls for that matter. Selfish brats piss me off. But that all is still fine so long as the other party does not open up to them like your cliched macho. I snapped the moment Nagi covered his lie.
Well, at least now I know I'm definitely not m lol. Been wondering forever about that, but it turns out it's just that I included myself lol.
The characters are intriguing and make me want to read more. I like the story, it seems pretty unique so far. The art gives off a nice airy feeling, I really like art that is simplistic like in this one (and most of thepther acme scans). I would definitely like to finish reading this story.
So, I found Sora to be a bit annoying, but I warmed up to him a little by the second chapter. The interaction between Nagi and Sora are light and somewhat romantic. Both characters are mysterious, so I'm looking forward to more.
