I like one shots. Especially the more adult ones but I've stopped taking the time for them for a long time.
These are more shounen types, and they seem more like prototypes for possible series. In that sense, it'll be a little sad if you like these but their still worth checking out. Maybe these have inspired people(and maybe you'll be inspired).
As for the stories themselves:
Crazy maniax is enjoyable and has a lot of potential, crazy but different otaku. Not sad but energetic about the stuff they like. In fact the main character, pretty boy, strong, is actually the one whose love boarders on a bad aspect of the otaku. But as a character he's the energy, slightly airhead type and likeable.
Valkyrie: My least favourite. a guy passes for a girl to help a softball club at a match, technically cheating. He's a pervert but he likes a girl and they fight and fight, and fight and fight and fight. Kind of old hat, I like his reason for acting out though... what older sister doesn't dress a younger brother as a girl(that's some truth!).
Snow Fairy: My favourite one, lots of potential. Really good natured fairy helps a nearby village, and a guy that wandered in. It's a cute character in a pleasant story. The fairy adds a supernatural element but the setting is otherwise grounded but not drawn realistically. The shounen art style gives it the air of a uresei, dr.slump type. The second chapter of this is much more fantasy, similar to the momotaro ogres, it's a bit more average but still likeable.
Karate Junkie: it's basically just a fight thing.karate just being used as a generic term for martial artist or the idea of martial arts. It reminds me of Ranma. It's standard but not bad.
