If you're thinking about diving into this manga, here's a heads-up: it's a total emotional wrecking ball. Honestly, it feels like it was made for those who enjoy getting abused. The ending? Brutal, and not in a good way. It's like the creators went out of their way to make sure you'd end up feeling down. From my side, consider this a warning rather than a recommendation. Unless you're into that kind of masochistic experience, you might want to steer clear. Trust me, there are plenty of other manga out there that won't leave you feeling like you've been through the wringer.

This story is more shoujo-ai than yuri. I think it definitely holds as slice of life and definitely portrays two teenagers. I really like Shizuku's development and the way Kaori challenges her to face her fears. There is definitely foreshadowing of what's the come. It's a good story with nice pacing. I wish we could get to know Kaori better than from just Shizuku's perceptive.

The art is great, but the rest of it... Shizuku's growth and personal story was really interesting, too bad it was eclipsed by the cliche "terminal illness death" trope. Even in the very end, she was overshadowed by Kaori and everything about her "mysterious past", all explained via lines of text with a vague hopeful end, bummer. I think it would be more effective binge reading the series, but honestly you've read something like this a hundred times already, I'm not sure if the interesting bits are really worth it.
