Description
The fresh middle school days of two young boys who weren't yet friends: a distant summer's faint memory.
Yuudai is an ordinary 14-year-old boy attending middle school with his friends. One day, a shocking secret is revealed about one of his classmates, Harada, which propels him to the center of the rumor mill and the cruel gossip that follows him around.
But Yuudai is not as shallow as his classmates and he's clearly bothered by everyone's attitude towards Harada. How can he make everything go back the way they were, if it's even possible?

this story was so beautiful and touching but truly sad.
when we start growing we can be so cruel and we hurt people without even thinking, and this story shows you that, but also shows you that you can change it and when somethings it's wrong you need to speak up, don't be part of those people who don't want to understand and hurt people cause it's fun.
this one-shot was definitely one of the best and now it's one of my favorite.

Really, I pity whoever added the "BL Subtext" tag to the category field: Congratulations, my dear, you just misunderstood the meaning behind this entire story.
The protagonist is heterosexual (proven in the last couple of pages), so he has no vested interest in sticking up for a gay guy he's barely had a conversation with; he's 14, an age where hardly anyone -- and especially not the average teenager boy -- is in any way understanding or tolerant of differences; he stands to gain nothing by speaking out in favour of Harada, and in fact has much more to lose, considering that his feelings of allegiance and wounded sense of justice could all too easily be mistaken for lust (like whoever poor soul added category tags here has done) ... And still, he does the right thing -- not because he has any desire to fight for LGBT+ rights, but because he understood, even at 14, that a good person is a good person regardless of their sexual/romantic preferences -- and perhaps made a world of difference in Harada's life.
You go, Yuudai! I hope you found yourself a sweet lady who loves you as you deserve!
